I have a question that might seem strange, but with Battlezone seeming almost another part of life, it makes sense to me. The first few times I played the NSDF missions through, I felt a great sense of injustice that the CCA had driven the NSDF out of Eagle's Nest 1. Seriously! And why didn't we go back and blast them out of there later? I realize its probably because the CCA surrendered later on Titan, but still after playing the missions my pride doesn't let me accept we abandoned ship! Does anyone feel the same? I hope one day to make a mission called "sweet vengence," in which you lead a valiant team of units into the captured Eagle's Nest 1 and take it back!!!

We won though. We get it back anyways. Why assault something we own?

Well, you have a point. Although the NSDF won the war and conquered the furies and the CCA (according the original NSDF plot), I think it would still be quite fun to take it back. For instance (just for fun) say you insert a mission directly after the 2nd NSDF mission "Eagle's Nest 1", when you get driven out. In this new 3rd mission, you take a strike force and destroy the captured base. Then move on to mars.
I dunno, maybe its just me, but I like the idea.

The NSDF flees to Mars after the CCA took Luna, and then they found the first relic and the war began to revolve around the fury relics and controlling them, until the CCA built them and...well, you know the story.
But yea, the NSDF had to escape to Mars to rebuild there.

True. However, if all BZ fanatics (including me!) followed the story line, there WOULD BE NO MORE bz missions... after all the CCA surrendered and the furies were destroyed... boring. Why not just make up an alternate campaign... after all I have seen two other missions involing taking back Luna... one being the 1st mission of the Screaming Eagle's level pack from Young Guns: "bad moon rising." Then another mission something like "the return to Eagle's Nest 1," or something like that. But you are right about the NSDF fleeing to Mars... if we had beaten the CCA off Luna we wouldn't exactly have fleen to Mars....

Yeah, well, such discussions are pointless. We know how things turned out with BZ 2 and its totally generic and indistinctive story.
Unless, for some reason that is not official "canon" or whatnot; but now I sound like someone who spends too much time on relicnews talking about Dawn of War or something.
Personally I was more of a CCA man; hand holding a hammer upright in front of a stylized depiction of Jupiter (if I remember their logo correctly, that is) stroke a right chord. Bringing socialism to the outer reaches of the solar system; heh, preposterous idea, since there are no people living there. But talk about western imperialists expanding their greedy reach out to the stars and such just shows how well the developers implemented the idea of the Cold War gone hot, in outer space. And Red Odyssey catches up perfectly with its own analogue of the 1960s Sino-Soviet split that turned them into deadly adversaries.

These discussions may be pointless, but I'd like a mission like that. Please make one Ian!

Quote: However, if all BZ fanatics (including me!) followed the story line, there WOULD BE NO MORE bz missions... after all the CCA surrendered and the furies were destroyed... boring. There might only be 17 NSDF missions and 8 CCA missions in the campaign, but those are hardly the only battles that took place in the war. There's tons of room for a parallel story covering parallel battles, and of course there could be more furies lurking somewhere in the universe headed to destroy Earth or something. Then on top of that you could use parallel universes and time travel!

That only further proves my point that there can be as many missions as we like.

Since I am more familiar with the map editor now and have already made one IA mission, perhaps I should make one in RO.

Please make one... I'm craving for a RO IA, that's not as hard as the actual missions lol.
