I could never figure out Jahshaka, and Wax always crashed on me. I own Cyberlink PowerDirector because I bought a video camera and it came with it, but I found Movie Maker does better than even that commercial piece of software.

I make all my BZ and TRO mission videos the same way.

1. Record with Fraps at 60 FPS or higher. (I run BZ in HW mode, and it limits itself to 60, but if I set it to 60, I get only 20-30, but if I set Fraps' limit higher, like 100, sometimes I can get 40-50 in BZ)

2. Import to Movie Maker.

3. Add appropriate BZ or TRO music at about 1/2 volume. (Movie Maker doesn't seem to let me adjust volume very well, I have a slider and there are no numbers, otherwise I'd make it EXACTLY 50%) I add the music once, set volume, then copy and paste it on the timeline to fill the whole video and trim the last paste to the end of the video. I always make sure my movie has no blank frames at beginning or end, but that's just my preference.

4. Export in parts if longer than 10 minutes. This can be tricky, because I basically delete what I don't want, export, then undo and delete what I exported the first time, then export the next part, etc. I have to split both the video clip and the audio as well. It's annoying, but effective.

5. Export as a whole if exactly 10 minutes or less. For the export quality, I use "High Quality video (large)". The files will be relatively large, but nothing compared to the files Fraps makes.

To effectively record with Fraps, I recommend at least 20 GB to be free on your hard drive. You'll use it fast though.

al text , with and idea of what can we do . dont pretend to make a holliwood movie , but at least one video like red vs blue to see how it does looking.

Yeah, I can keep all my original .avi files that Fraps creates and still keep 20-30 GB free on my machine because I have an external USB 500 GB hard drive for archiving stuff. I think it is important to keep the high quality original videos. I have a bunch of old boring BZ DM footage archived and I think I should just delete it because I don't plan on uploading it all to YouTube, and it's just taking up space. :P

I think its an excellent idea. Thank about the BZ Soundtrack; it will sell like hotcakes!!!

:Drum Roll: tank swiftly enters enemy territory with army of bombers, tanks, and APC.

the possibilities are endless. However on another note, I really am interested in this idea considering how good the BZ soundtrack is and I am thinking we need some serious software to make this independent-film worthy. Is there something out there (dreamweaver? ) other software that can be used to integrate the story line / change the content but keep the same voice over and have hi-def clips from strategy and dm games with cockpit details, and pilot narration with teams , and all of the beautiful planets BZ has. like search for biometal.

either way ... if we want to really break in we have to do an excellent job first time around so we can end up on Leno or the Late night Show and make it big, otherwise it will remain a youtube fantasy.

Well, keep in mind that I know of several YouTube users that got famous from simple games.
Stalker2K7=700+ subscribers
jesusranchjohn= 200+ subscribers
Hopdiddy= 5,000+ subscribers
PivotMasterDX=70,000+ subscribers

Fred(LOL)= OVER 1 million subscribers

It can be done.

I wouldn't make much of a voice actor either. :?

Check my TRO videos at www.youtube.com/BigJGames. The music I added to my TRO videos is actual TRO game music. I downloaded the Soundtrack somewhere.

The BZ and TRO Soundtracks aren't MIDI, they're audio.

I hope to eventually replace my long-lost BZ CD and get a TRO CD. I want the music to play in-game, not just in my videos. :)
