I remember Lone Fox suggested this somewhere: maybe its better to include all maps that were in BZ 1998 installer (except some really bad ones like Walker Arena) and only vote for maps not in that list? I think the Battlezone 1998 map list was almost perfectly picked, and I am sure others will agree with me too.

For Battlegrounds, would making it optional be a viable solution? If not, then a vote should be held for which maps that should not be included and ones that should remain.

I'm still waiting for a new 1.5 installer with the good custom maps from the old 1.4 installer. When is it coming? I definitely want these maps: Battle Arena (DM) Bio-Metal Run v1.5 (Strat) Death Circle (DM) Earth (Strat) Face of Death (DM) Foothills (Strat) HiLo (Strat) Io (DM) Lunar Chaos (DM) Mag Arena (DM) Mags Cage (DM) Moon War (Strat) Pacman! (Strat) Rend (DM) Rings (DM) Scrap Crater (Strat) Total Recall (DM) Z Heavy Metal (DM) These choices are all maps that I have actually played on and remind me of fun times in 1.4. I used to not like the Earth strat map, but the missing texture problem and the issue with AI units falling off the map (past the map boundary) both don't happen in Battlezone 1.5, so now it is playable.

Tugs could pick up derelict tanks make a fort out of them xD.
Howies could be used for a Defensive fall back position.
Also I wonder why there was never a TDM aspect implemented yet? sounds good

I do still have the old 1.4 expansion installer that does install the extra DM and Strat maps and especially IA missions that were all in 1.4, whoever wants them then pm me and I might put the installer on Mediafire
Yes i tested them on 1.5 they do work exactly the same way in 1.4 no errors so far, but be aware I did not test everything

I have a few question on the battlezone installer. 1. which strat maps are going with it 2. which dm maps are going with it. 3. Which MPI Strategy maps are going with it I like to make this topic because, Once ken gets done working on battlezone And Battlezone is OVER 100% Done and no more bugs and crashes stops happening. I like to see a FULL battlezone installer by the time once ken is done. Please guys don't get rowdy. I like to hear about everybody's opinion on which maps should be on the last and final installer. Any Questions. EDIT 2: Custom maps only on this topic.

1. probably all the strat maps ever made, or at least the well-known and well-played ones. i would like the following back: Pac-Man, Biometal Run, Hilo, Moon War, Scrap Pit, Xenophobia, Earth, Foothills. it doesnt hurt to have more 2. same as the strat maps, and since DM is more "popular" i would say we start recycling some strat maps and turn them into DM 3. probably all stable ones, since MPI is still in development. i would like the bz2 mpi maps in bz1, i can imagine them being playable Dunes, Hilo, Iceberg, GH Maps (Firestorm, Duststorm, etc...) and Sea Battle (could try making water in bz1, or using io's lava dont get too far ahead of Ken though, the installer wont be finished for a long time Mr.B^zooka wrote: Once ken gets done working on battlezone And Battlezone is OVER 100% Done i sure hope that bzone is not 100% over and done, since the game has really gone a long way. an expansion pack and a content pack have been released for the game, and the patches have been continuing long after Activision dropped support for both bz1 and bz2. Ken may stop developing patches and stuff for bzone, but that doesnt mean we cant Mr.B^zooka wrote: ... OVER 100% Done and no more bugs and crashes stops happening it is impossible to make any software "bug free" since even 500 MB games like bz1 have millions of lines of code. Ken and other developers dont have the time to look over them, which means there is an insanely high chance of hundreds of unseen bugs. not to mention the game was originally designed for Windows 95/98, and the game is now shifting towards modern-day OS i also have some suggestions that could be added in the installer. there could be multiple .exe shortcuts from there that can open the editor(s), or maybe some config/debug tools if the game gets glitchy

As far as making water goes, about the best I can do is put a cloud layer really low, say 2 or 3 meters off the ground and then make only the places where you want water to be 2 or 3 meters or lower in height.
