I have posted a comparison between BZ1 and BZ2 based on my experience, and clarifying that I have not finished BZ2 yet. Given what I know I like BZ1 more, but that's me. It is best for me, but as I said, I have not yet finished the game. There should not be disagreement, since chocolate and lemonade are both valid options for different people and one does not exclude the other.
Lemonade or chocolate. It would be senseless to engage in the debate of "to be or not to be". We can compare features, but judging what's best belongs to the realm of subjective things.
BTW: I am having problems when posting with Firefox. Any ideas? As unhelpful as it may be, my only suggestion would be to try Google Chrome for your internet needs. I think (and I'm pretty sure the community [whatever "the community" means anyway] is with me on this one) that the single player campaign of BZ2 is not its strongest feature. For me, multiplayer strat is much more fun and engaging. Others enjoy MPI (Multi Player Instant action). I think it's a mistake to give BZ2 a conclusive positive or negative review based solely on the campaign. Put some time into playing multiplayer strat and your enjoyment will [probably] increase. Your comparison with chocolate and lemonade has a lot of value -- I also think saying "this one is better than the the other one" is unfounded. More accurate is "this one is better than the other one for me."

Actually, I read somewhere that the devs were thinking of dropping the 'Battlezone' name for the sequel to BZ2 and following with variations of 'Combat Commander.' A similar plan was set to happen with TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.

On Topic: Bz2 is a different game from Bz1; hence you cannot compare them. It is up to personal preference as to what game is better.
Off Topic: If properly commanded, the AI will beat the tar out of you. Period. If not properly commanded, the AI are a total piece of cake.

Well in a way it is interesting that the sequel of chocolate is lemonade, a sequel in term of words only, because they are too different, not only about gameplay. Designs do not seem quite consistent between each other. Storyline too.

Don't worry Xtreme, this entire topic was a joke anyway. Battlezone VS Combat Commander. Combat Commander was the inferior game right from the beginning.

Oh OK I see. When I read someone even compare BZ2 to BZ1 I spat my soda out and laughed out loud. There's really no comparison in my opinion.

Yeah, there's no comparison at all. How can I compare Battlezone's Grizzly tank to Combat Commander's Grizzly Tank when Combat Commander doesn't even HAVE any Battlezone vehicles?

You guys made this topic stupid, i've played both games online for a decent amount of time to be able to strike up a comparision. You should read 'reviews' on the internet
