It's defended by about 4-7 fighters, not 2. Much more of a challenge than just a pair of them.

haha yes! i have done that. so much more fun.

that APC mission on titan is anoying though. cuz the furies arnt challenging enough to make it hard, but they are there making you hafta escort everythn.

my fav missions are prolly the last NSDF mission on titan and the first one on achilies. the two hardest fury missions. anyone have any stories for those?

I have horror stories about furies... Especially the last Titan mission. For horror story on first achilles mission, check the first post of this thread.

hahaha yeah that mission can get really rough sometimes. ive actually found now that instead of bombers(which is what i used to furyhunt with), rocket tanks re-armed with double rocket bomb are slightly better. they are only a little slower and weaker and 3 less shots, but the increased manuverability totally makes up for it.

and for my fury horror stories, look up my post on "fury spawning". freaked me out when that first happened

glad you like to play campaighn. its the best

seeing how everyone(including myself) loves to kill the CCA rec on the first mars mission, i have a challenge: kill the CCA rec on the 2nd mars mission. you are allowed the BZradar cheat, cuz i doubt this is possible otherwise.

good luck

Sorry fury. That challenge is impossible. The CCA rec is off the map. Your little minions can go, but you cannot.

What if you task one unit to attack and the rest to follow him? I always wondered where the rec was on that level, i didn't think it could be a spawning level as you don't get scavs.

As I told fury, the rec is off the map, not even in radar range. You cannot order an attack on it. Even as much as you want to. I just put turrets near teh edge and watch as the scavs are slaughtered endlessly. Quite funny.

Commander Eldridge (not sure quite how to spell his name) has always pissed me off

Have you ever left your base early on that first walker mission to go see how Eldridge built his base? If not, do it some time. He is red to your units so you have to go alone. He just sits there doing nothing. His "moderate fighter resistance" must mean NO fighters at all, since he only has a useless recycler. When the walker attacks, I once managed to kill the attacking "unknown" unit (easy :P ) and his recycler sat there again, later to be attacked by the moderate fighter resistance that came from scav escorts.

So much for even preparing to attack with his APCs from the east.

If Eldridge can't build a base, he deserves to die

I agree with you, but I have often had the misfortune of having my rec destroyed while I looked at the Colorado. Also, I have noticed that the only unit really fast enough to get there in time if you will build protection for your rec that is decent is a scout. And killing a Golem with a Razor is fun on any day if you catch my drift.

i get there all the time in a tank, and just build a fac and a few tanks to cover my rec while i go to the colorado. and the walker is ususually distracted by the rec so its easy to kill.

but i always have elderidge's rec blow up on me even if i destroy the walker before it kills the rec. oh well, i can handle the "moderate fighter resistance" and the "unknown units" and the 3 guntowers on my own.

whats funny is if the pilot ejects for the colorado, he actually shoots at you:P traitorous elderidge

OH NOES!!!! THE THREAD DIED!!! Oh wells. I have a new hated enemy. CCA tanks re-armed with double sp-stabbers. There is an IA mission where you fight hordes of those super-tanks. The good part is they are AI. The bad part is their AI seems to be upgraded, since not only is their aim rather fantastic (was doing a double-deke move that ALWAYS works on DM against even the good dmers, and I got mashed by the czars), but they lead you into traps and only attack in groups. As in I had it where I was gonna 1v1 a tank, and it ran, until it reached 3 other tanks, then they all chased me. And to add to that, they used FULL thrusters, not the normal AI "q" move, but the full speed "w" move. It was kinda scary. Anyways, yeah... so you get large groups of high damage, good aim enemies. Welcome to IA rofl.

Those who have beaten the NSDF campaign, as you know, on the final mission, your superiors offer you two routes you can take to go assault the Fury Transport. Which route do you usually take? I myself prefer to take the longer route with less fury activity once I have my desired wingmen assembled and ready for battle. I often just find one fury on that route and follow about 300 meters behind him, knowing that he'll lead me right to the transport. :)

I do the same. Grab some bombers, take the long way. I tend to be a little more paranoid, hang out 400 behind the fury.

Campaign is easy now :) I like disobeying Collin's orders one the first mars mission by destroying the 'Heavily Fortified' base of a few offensive units and 4 turrets . Course the one time there was like 12 fighters guarding the relic due to a glitch, but that made it more interesting.
