Seriously. I bought this game way back when it first came out, actually bought it for the joystick, the game came with it. Fell in love with it and its sequel (I don't care what people say I think BZII is great fun as well). Well I lost the CD ages ago and I can't find it. Actually I think it's probably in North Africa at my old house where I grew up. No joke  .

I'm not a freaking pirate, I just want to be able to play a game I OWN with music.

thanks

Seems you don't own it anymore. Beside, this is not The Pirate Bay.

Have to ask...why don't people use cue / bin with BZ..so that they can retain the music on the CD?

T2H, most BZ players don't know what a "cue/bin" is. They put the CD in the drive, and the music plays in the game. That's all they know. If everybody had an easy way to convert their physical CD into a virtual drive, I'm sure all would do that, to prevent damaging their CD. Even with a CD image, switching the system drive letters to make the music play could be considered "advanced" or "complicated" by some. We're not all tech experts. ;)

Thread necro, but not all formats will work with mixed-mode CDs (there's not that many games that used them TBH) - I know Nero's own proprietary format and CUE/BIN images will support them. I don't know how Vista / 7 deal with such CDs (obviously XP and before are fine), but I know on linux I only know of one mounting tool that will mount them properly (CDEmu).

Related...kinda wish that GOG (or something like that) would sell BZ in the proper stock format (even abandonware sites don't do the CD images), the plethora of installers and whatnot make installing BZ a possible minefield and you kinda miss some of the 'experience' without the music.
