Hi there. Just re-installed Battlezone - my hard drive died. Went through the Data Execution Prevention thing, and the game now launches, but I can't get the game to run properly - it crashes when you run the actual mission - unhandled exception error.
However when I did the configuration thing after the first crash, I was asked whether I wanted to run in software or hardware mode. Software mode works, hardware doesn't. And When you actually play the game, hardware seems to be the only option.
It worked fine before (other than the yellow screen thing).
Any ideas?
Win XP Pro, Nvidia graphics card AMD athlon 64 X2 dual.

Since Vista and DX10 cards, fully working hardware mode in BZ became a privilage. Additionally, many had trouble understanding that you get in software mode by turning 3D card off in the options, and that you get in window mode (another working alternative for HW mode) by adding "/win" to the command line. Therefore, I made BZ98 installer's shortcuts to do that for you. Main shortcut starts the game in HW mode, while under "Troubleshooting" you have window mode shortcut and software mode shortcut.
Edit: To run IA missions in SW mode you have to first start BZ with SW shortcut then exit and run IA mission.
As for your HW issues, be sure to have the latest graphic card driver, don't touch render.cfg (use default installer's settings or the one posted in FAQ) and try different game resolutions.
