Hello guys,
I have HP laptop with Windows 7 (4GB RAM) and I have way too much fps when I run bz (about 100-150). I have tried turning vsync on, setting my monitor refresh rate to 60, but nothing seems to help. Here some more specs of my machine:
HP G62 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit 4 GB RAM ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4250
I run Battlezone in windowed software mode in 640x480 resolution, because when I run full screen I get funny colors.
Please help me with this because i really don't want to be know as "the guy with 150fps".

There's no vsync in window and software mode, only in hardware mode, which doesn't work with ATI and Win7 in full screen. That combination needs i-processor, but judging by your graphic card, you don't have it. BZ1.5 is the only real solution for you...
Also, there's no need to play both Win and SW mode. Use HW mode when in window, 640x480 of course.

Battlezone will not run when being in windowed hardware mode (640x480), I get a blank screen when the mission should start, sound is working fine. In software mode the colors are all messed up in full screen, when I run windowed software mode and set my resolution to 640x480 I won't see the window and it will run like it's full screen but the colors will be ok, so windowed software mode is really the only solution for me when I want bz to run in full-screen. 1.5 is running great on my machine btw and I am using it for single player now, when the final build will be ready you will find me in the 1.5 lobby, for playing some nice strategy of course . Anyway, thank you very much for your response.

I don't know much about ATI's control panel but you might be able to lock it from there

It is suddenly not so high anymore (max. 90), I don't know if it stays like this but I hope so. As of the ATI Control panel, I can turn vsync on from there but as Mr. Spock said it won't help when you run bz in software mode.

Yeah, but if he has more than 200 maybey he is exploiting it, fps never goes higher that 175 here.
