"Battlezone" Club, fake 1.4 installer and BZE mod

As most of you know, there's this group of hackers presenting themselves as BZ Club. They have fake BZ1.4 installer and a silly mod which they falsely call A New BZ. They've been able to trick few unaware oldtimers and new players that they represent the real BZ. Anyone who installs BZ from the original CD and applies the needed patches (or downloads pre-patched BZ98 and 1.5b installers), can see with their own eyes that BZ Club is lying. With their fake 1.4 installer (not leading to original BZ server session) they are trying to present that BZ is dead, so everybody would move to their vision of new BZ called BZE. Like that, they are hurting the original (1.4) and its probable replacement (1.5).

Main BZ community at Battlezone1.net offers real BZ1.4 and BZ1.5 installers.

If you are one of those unaware people who got tricked, I hope you will read this and come back to original BZ (whether that'll be 1.4 or not yet finished 1.5). But if you are one of those who joined those hackers on purpose, you should be aware that you can't be "friends" with both parties, so by joining them you are guilty by association and you are not welcome in BZ anymore. You may not be sorry now, but you will be when 1.5 gets released and when we get hundreds of new players.

Fake installer what else! I tell you they go to the extreme to shut down REAL BZ.I have nothing for BZC as we all know they accept hackers and for a someone trying their best to kill the real BZ.Ken I really don't think you know these hackers too well and how they want to kill BZ.There is no reason for this DX if you can see.

Some say I wasn't clear enough, so here we go again:

BZEC forum with few hackers who post there, its 911 server and their fake BZ installer called BZE started ruining BZ in 2007 (when there was no other forums) and almost made it in 2008 (when there was no other servers), forcing everyone to quit on BZ and move to BZE. This forum made in 2008 and BZ1.net server made in 2009 saved BZ from BZE(C) attrocity. They didn't give up, so recently they made another fake BZ installer called BZR-eaper.

You have to choose: play original Battlezone (1.4 and 1.5) and The Red Odyssey with us on BZ1.net or play their hacked mods. It's simple: if you post on BZEC, you can't post here and if you play on 911 you can't play on BZ1.net.

Hacked mods indeed! Their so-called "1.4" is not really 1.4, it is a mod that has hacks built-in and goes to a different session.

I would like to point out that if BZC had any posts that could clear their names, they have been pruned and deleted. They shot themselves in the foot by doing that and that's why when Dx does comes in the Teamspeak, it's hard to even believe the guy because he is unable and unwilling to produce any solid and unedited proof when me and Spork ask him for it. Not even the "Wayback Machine" can help... If he can provide the evidence, then brownie points for him. Right now, Spock has all of his evidence and he hasn't deleted it.

BFT claims that there are 50% of the Bz community over there and very few people left playing, but I took the liberty of listing and numbering active people that has actually spoke to me in the lobby or shot at me in a game. These people are listed in a .txt file on my hard drive so I can get the person and not his "bazillion" aliases. The list is just a simple number (the Xth person listed) and a name (primary name.) I consider these people in the file "regular players" because they play at least once every week to two weeks. Dx came in the teamspeak and we compared numbers. He said 10 "regulars" over on "his side", but I think there may be 25 or a little bit more. As for "our side", at the time with talking with him, I had 54 individuals listed and as of right now, 59 people. Bz1.net has the largest chuck of the pie for regularly playing people as of right now and it continues to grow.

In all honesty... I could care less if BzE lives or dies... Battlezone has been and will continue to be standing on it's own and people will continue to play. I could care less who Ken talks to or works with... It's really none of my business. Once he finishes 1.5, I'll be happy and grateful and he'll probably move on to other things. I could care less if BzE gets upgrades or not... the number of people playing BzE hasn't seemed to increase dramatically, if it even increased at all, and we still have a ton of people over here. I could care less if some of our own decide to go to the 911 server... They can go have fun and I will have fun over here at Bz1.net, besides we have plenty of people over here. Besides, the more BZC talk about us, the more they will perk the interest of people, and the more people will come over to play with us.

BZEC/BZE has 5-6 active posters/players; you can find most of them on the Wall of Shame. They got there by hacking the original over the years. They don't think they were doing anything wrong, cause in their vocabulary hacking BZ = promoting BZE. Few hackers gathered on a separate server and session, playing some dumb mod, doesn't classify them as a community, especially not BZ community. They are banished BZ hackers, nothing more. As for 3-4 casual players over there, they are lost BZ'oners, tricked that BZE is BZ and that BZEC is BZ forum. They should realize the truth sooner or later and come back to 1.5.

Being associated with the Team Dummy in any way (especially playing there) hurts BZ. Reaper didn't make BZE and fake BZ installer to improve the original, to bring more players to BZ. He did it to replace BZ, otherwise, his installers would lead to the same lobby were BZ is. Like The Red Odyssey installer does and every BZ mod that was made over the years. Even little birds should know that by now. I, as someone who has been running BZ server since 2009, know that better than others. That's why this friendly warning.

BZ has 20x more players, these screenshots and videos are proving that. Unfortunately, lately, they are divided over 1.4 and 1.5 so none lobby has enough players, but all that will change on 24th September, when 1.5 is supposed to be released and when we'll all move to 1.5 lobby.

Don't forget BZ1 has a Clan that consists of about 15 members in it and I have been told we are possibly the only Clan in BZ currently xD gotta love it now all I need to do is get a web site with a nifty flash made web site with a nifty flash intro and I will be set and it will be like the old times OH YEAH!!!

Actually, what you need to do is come to the lobby and hang there in window mode even while not playing. When other players (who are less patient and don't know how to support BZ) come to the lobby, they'll be more likely to stick around instead of leaving right away (which is a bad habit, the infamous "entered-left" routine)

If playing 1.4, you can exit windowed BZ and start fullscreen BZ to play... if BZ fullscreen even works on your system.

If playing 1.5, you can press ALT+ENTER! It's magic.

just wondering, but what exactly is this the goal of this group of "hackers" (its a widely mis-used term, so i'm just making sure here...)
do they just have their own battlezone replacement thing going? or is their release all fishy with hacks/cheats?

Some call BzE a mod.
Dx calls BzE a hobby.
Some call BzE a replacement to Bz.
I don't care much about BzE anymore to even worry about it.



Dealing with absolutes... That has happened to myself in real life and it's really lame, stupid, and ridiculous. I had two friends that were fighting each other about 5 years ago and one of them used the guilty-by-association bulls*** and I told him that he was an idiot. Guess what? I'm still friends with both of them AND they reconciled and became friends again.

If you're playing fair and having fun, then you really don't have anything to worry about.

BZ1 vs BZEC MASSIVE clan match in a modded strat game that can allow like 30 players in!
