Running 175.19 drivers - would the 1.5 patch help me run updated drivers?
Is there some info on getting set up to play on line?

Sorry, but bz98 installer no help, you need use SOFTMODE (no 3D) , GeForce is very bad for BZ1.4...

Sorry, I have a habit of typing before searching and reading!
I've found instructions for updating files for XP on the site - I've been playing IA since the early days and have been keeping an Nvidia 6 Series video card alive on an XP machine just to play BZ!
Now my son wants to get together on-line and see if he can best me.
I need to see if I can still buy a Video card that will still run the game...

Right now I'm running the original game, 1.4, lg assets, on an XP machine with a 6800 GT video card and have been investigating how to upgrade the program - (to use newer video cards) - and to play on-line. I found good info on this site I just need get busy figuring it all out

I just formated my hardrive and installed win 7 again, bz doesn't start no matter what i do. before i reinstalled windows I had NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT Driver Version: 8.15.11.8652 and now i have Version: 8.17.11.9716 windows error message .......fail

No "Real" problem, just trying to figure out how to update the game to run newer graphics cards - As I've said before, I tend to ask dumb questions before reading - my appologies. I'm glad to see people keeping the game alive and appreciate the work everyone has put into it.

Thanks for the appreciation and the support.If you are patching original game, you should follow steps from FAQ. If you are not very techy, I suggest installing BZ98 installer, since it contains original game + all those files from FAQ already applied. As for your system specs, BZ 1.4 (original or BZ98 installer) should work fine on that machine. Since your first post, Nvidia released several new drivers, so the latest for your card is 260.99. Download and install it, then run the game. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-260.99-whql-driver.htmlP.S. Are you sure you have 32bit windows? If so, then you can't have more than 3GB of RAM. Only 64bit windows can see more. If you have 64bit windows XP with 4gb of ram, then you will also have to do install ACT and make memory-lie patch. Let me know how you stand with those bits so I could guide you further, if needed.
