It was rated 9.4/10! Now, Ken Miller has taken this great game to the next level! Finally, it runs on modern systems. Finally, the crucial bugs and hacking vulnerabilities have been fixed. Battlezone is being reborn, better than ever! The only thing the reviewers complained about was the AI, but now that the AI has been improved, it can be considered 10/10. With the introduction of stable 1.5 release candidates, this truly is the greatest game ever made!

I was just touching on how Battlezone as I have known it has passed on.... to something better of course. Just kinda like those things where you upgrade from an old junk computer to a new one, and the new one is COMPLETELY 100% better, and you would never go back to the old one, but you still kinda miss that old faithful one.

Hehe, I have the exactly same feeling. I am so excited about 1.5, but leaving the version of the game we played for so long is a little bit hard. The improvements are so overwhelming though that I am happy to say 1.4 goodbye.

Would love to see this enter the Mac "Apps" world. Would open up a whole new world of players and introduce so many people to BZ.

Boy, oh boy have I missed a lot. 1.4 will always have some of my best memories. Though in the end this was what the ultimate goal would be.

Wow ..Ok I,m kinda speechless . I just downloaded the 1.5 version and it plays great on windows 7 X86. You have made an old man very happy. I bought this game in 1998 and played it until microsoft update made it not work any more. I tried it just a few month ago (My original CD) with the available patches from Activision, and it didn't run at all on Win .7 Then I found ya'alls website and tried v 1.4 it ran but crashed alot and had video problem. I made posts about it, sorry if they sounded stupid. But anyway the install of 1.5 put a lotta stuff on my computer like Sql servers and well it kinda freaked me out so... I un-installed all of that and the game still runs great. My question is do I need all of that to join online servers? And again great job on this release. Looks like I'm gonna be up all night reminiscing.
