Or am I misunderstand the use of silos?


I had a silo at a forward outpost near a bunch of scrap. I had about 40 scrap but rec would build nothing.

Silo was a pretty good distance from rec, probably about 350m.


Bug or "Operator Malfunction"?

Was your pilot count on zero? Check the green count underneath the blue scrap count one. If it's like 0/15 or 0/25 or whatever then you have no pilots. You can only build tanks or scavengers provided you have atleast 1 spare pilot. When you run out of pilots you can build a barracks with your constructor to get 5 extra ones.

Although you can build ammo and repair pods without the need for pilots.
