Snowcone wrote: With the new title you gave me, maybe we'll actually get more players Snowcone registered here year ago and since then made 392 mostly useless posts. There's a record of him playing and losing 4 games on the Strat tourney 2009 qualifications, but that's it from what I know, and I've been watching BZ lobby carefully since 2006. Did he play in the old days when people were not watching IPs so closely, we'll never know... but after reading his Barracks "bug" explanation, I really doubt that. Snowcone, as said here, forum ranks are for the protection of unaware readers. You are not a player, you post every day and you often post wrong info. And the most annoying thing - you argue about it till death. You need a special rank. Here's how your brilliant posts look like: - DEP topic - this topic was cut off from one of the experimental build topics, where you insisted on fixing DEP issue by turning DEP off over control panel. Of course, that didn't work cause the system would say that DEP can't be turned off for that application (bzone.exe). You didn't know that cause the only thing you did was seeing us talking about DEP, so you googled it and posted the first result you found, without checking what it does. BZ DEP has to be turned off over command prompt (it is unbelievable I had to argue for that), and later we realized it can be avoided by adding new anet2.dll.
- Nvidia Geforce - here you told fox_inuyasha to get 1.5 while his 1.4 issue was fixed by simply setting resolution to 800x600+.
- Portforwarding - the most recent topic where you told DarkVim to fix port issues by installing 1.5.
...
I like when JonBlund comes here every now and then and posts something without playing. He's an old stratter, the icon of BZ. He's the one who taught me how to play the game. Beside, by going into his profile and searching his posts you'll see that almost every is useful. He doesn't post just to post. I expect that from every member. I understand there are few members who post but don't play, due being on Win7. They are waiting for 1.5 while staying in touch with the community. That's cool. But you won't see those replying in every topic. They don't pretend they are BZ. Everyone knows I care more for quality than quantity. I don't cry for banned hacker, even if that means we lost 1 "player". I would rather see 0 new topics than 3 new Snowcone's about nothing or those after which I have to clean after him. To sum it up; Snowcone, you are a posterboy, you don't play the game, you just post, wrong or right info, it doesn't matter to you. You said your XP PC runs BZ just fine, so start playing the game and thinking before posting or cut the number of your posts, at least in sensitive sections (1.5, strategy, tech support).

Snowcone played a little bit recently, after chatting a while in TeamSpeak. I think I saw him in a strat once. Number of days I've seen him playing since getting title "ex-player"? I think about 2, and I think there were a few days or a week between those days... not sure, I'm bad at keeping track of time on a large scale. He only played a little bit on each of those 2 days. BattleDroid42 was there too, so he might be able to verify this. Title of "casual player" might fit if he played more, but I think "posterboy" rank still fits the best. I'll chalk it up to 2 brief DM games and 1 strat game over a long period of time. On an unrelated note, somebody came into TeamSpeak once, saying (in a text message) "is there any activity in BZ?" to which I replied (in a text message) "Of course there is, why don't you check?".

Snowcone was in a game with me, Boris the Bullet dodger, and Josh. Snowcone was my partner in the 2 v 2. That strat was also where the Epic Deaths thread came from. He plays from time to time. Mainly from around 3 p.m. US Central Time to about Midnight US Central Time. I usually see him when Spork is sleeping.

Lonefox, I found 2 recent screenies with you: Is that proof enough? P.S. Snowcone, you crossed the line of my tolerance. From now on, whenever you make post I don't like, it goes to trash.

Mr. Spock wrote: Lonefox, I found 2 recent screenies with you: Is that proof enough? HOLY COW! There's a pic with me in it without taking a screenie by myself! And I'm being targeted and I'm #1! I'm assuming you're Frodo? Mr. Spock wrote: P.S. Snowcone, you crossed the line of my tolerance. From now on, whenever you make post I don't like, it goes to trash. That looks ominous... Code: Recycle Bin For insufficient posts (pruned) Snowcone's posts have been relevant, though probably not correct half the time. Quote: Censorship is the suppression of speech or other communication which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient to the general body of people as determined by a government, media outlet, or other controlling body. Are you sure you're not overreacting?

You should know that I, as server admin, am in the lobby even when I'm not in the lobby. That's why I know that above quote is a lie. By lying for Snowcone you became closer friend with a smartass posterboy, who doesn't play the game, while you did the opposite to our relation. Time will tell was it worth it, but I seriously doubt it was. The title of this topic was actually a hypothetical question, cause we all already know the answer. Snowcone knows it too. The truth is that he was in max 10 games in the last 4,5 (if not more) years. To compensate lost BZ time he was in almost every topic since he registered here year ago, pretending to be a player, being a smartass. As forum admin, I simply decided to stop that. Don't use words you don't fully understand; censorship is not allowing someone to say something at all. Me not allowing Snowcone to repeat his proven-to-be-wrong thought, over and over, is something else. It is me protecting forum's integrity.

If you see the screenshot you can see my scores its predicable 2-15 lmao (but at least i can rock the strat) and spock you are over reacting and that is censorship. Its the very definition of censorship

Time will tell was it worth it, but I seriously doubt it was. There I go again thinking that broad answers will answer specific questions... ... Even preview doesn't help me... I was meaning "time to time" as a unspecified amount of time in between games. The time, A.M. and P.M. time, was listed for the times I did see him. Mr. Spock wrote: Has anyone seen Snowcone playing? Pretty sure I have, at least twice. Maybe more, but this is the two recent times that I can remember for sure... 1st time: Around June ,when I started, to August. It's a bit vague but I do remember. This may also coincide with Spork's post. 2nd time: September 12, 2010. That was the strat I had with Him as my ally, and Boris and Josh who were on the other team. I know it was September 12, 2010, because I got sniped by Boris and that released the MAG and hit him. It was so epic that I made the thread that night. I don't remember if Snowcone stuck around... If he did, he probably played a DM with us. Mr. Spock wrote: The title of this topic was actually a hypothetical question, cause we all already know the answer. Snowcone knows it too. To compensate lost BZ time he was in almost every topic since he registered here year ago, pretending to be a player, being a smartass. As forum admin, I simply decided to stop that. Smartass? Maybe. Player? Yes. I was without internet for around 5 years and was unable to get online and half the time my computer sat on my desk collecting dust. Was I a player then? Our corporate media here allows us to speak about things up until we repeat, thinking that our argument is still valid. They cut people off, then the person decries censorship. What if I was repeating, would you do the same? Why not just debate people to death like you have been doing? Repeating may be annoying, but I don't see any harm in it. One thing I don't understand is how the forum's integrity is in danger due to Snowcone's posts. If this was about how Snowcone's posts affect the integrity of this forum, then I must be misunderstanding something.

I think I spotted HAL in a DM once. He sniped me out of the air like crazy. If it wasn't HAL, it was some other really good sniper.
