Battlezone 1

Hi everyone.

I occassionally surfed the internet, youtube etc. by looking for BZ1 stuffs again and again over the years, and thought this is game is completley forgotten, disapeard, and noone has intrest to play with it anymore, due to the new fancy 3d action games. Untill i found last week some realy good videos on youtube: it was BZ1:)
I watched it at least 1 hour long.
I tought it was from the old times and wondered what kind of ppl upload such an old stuffs... when i realized it was all about new network actions.
It was a real surprise, so i looked further for more infos till i got there.
Amazing to see how BZ1 has developed through the years, realy nice!!!

So my question is what ppl play actualy BZ1: HOW OLD IS AN AVERAGE BZ1 PLAYER?:)

I'm actually 17, been playing it since about the time it came out, or whenever my dad bought it then. haha.

You should have rather asked that as a poll-question, cause older people don't like to talk about their age. They also don't like to post much, if they registered on the forum at all. I guess they feel that over the past 12,5 years everything was already said about BZ. Anyhow, the most precise number you would get by checking profiles of those who have at least 1 post (due old phpBB 2 board, first 91 members were not required to enter age while registering).

I'm 32.

I was introduced to BZ2 in 2004, BZ1 in - I think - 2006. BZ2 is pretty, but BZ1 is just so much better. Better mechanics, better story, better gameplay... just a little limited in prettiness.

Frankly I think the whole series (I own all four games ) is genius, and there isn't a single game I rate higher than any of them (with the possible exception of RotBD, which doesn't work very well with emulators)

I'm under 20. I grew up with RotBD. That was around 2004. Then, I got this after searching the internet for free games during 2009-2010.

I've never actually played BZ2, I've only messed with the demo. I didn't like it, at all.

From what I can remember, I played RotBD more than I did Ocarina of Time and Total Annihilation.

The demo doesn't even remotely reflect how good BZ2's newer versions are. PB6 especially.

And RotBD doesn't reflect how good BZ1 is, does it?

pretty much the same thing, had RotBD for N64 around 2000, than later I googled for battlezone and found out it was a PC game, as well as free to download here

I first played in '01 or '02 when I was 5 or 6, after my older brother found it in a pile of our dad's games. I'm 15 now.

I was just learning to use a computer, and I found some demo disks and I was just fascinated by the game. It had its glitches, but it ran well on my old system
