Hello, I've received a message on my hotmail that said I have did'nt make any post and I would be in trouble but everything is fine ! I was just busy last times. So, you can call me SIRUZA, I am a French fan of Battlezone since I have played this game when I was 7. I would like to thanks the people on this forum because of the greats downloads I have found here, and especially the beautiful new Config 9000. However I need some help concerning a problem I have : when I run the game from the .exe, a window says me "Not supported exception" and also when I enable the Editor after created a unit or something. By the way, I have a error message when I run the Map Editor from Config 9000 even after disabled 3D Card and enabled Window configuration screen. Forgive me if my English isn't good enough. Merci beaucoup.

Hi, welcome to BZ. I doubt that BZ Config 9000 is responsible for your error messages (Unhandled Exception) in BZ. Enabling map editor, window mode, and disabling 3D card is really the same as copying your BZ shortcut and modifying the target: Code: "C:\Program Files\Battlezone 1998\Battlezone\bzone.exe" /win /sw /edit missionName.bzn That is strange that you are having errors while running in window mode. Care to post your system specifications?

Hello, SIRUZA. you should direct your Config 9000 questions to Sporkinator, as he's the guy who made the utility. which battlezone version are you currently using?

"Unhandled exception", that's right. It's the error message I've received. I use the Battlezone 1.8 patch after using the 1.4. I just discovered I receive this error message when I try to run or create a multiplayer game. Config 9000 is not responsible for this error message but when I try to create a new map by runnig Map Editor, I receive a other message error :
ERROR in action number 1 of Mouse Event for Left Released for object obj_button:
Error opening file for writing.

"Unhandled exception" is the error message I receive when : _When I start a multiplayer game. _After making Ctrl+E during the game to go out from the Editor. _When I try to run the .exe with hardware mode.

It's probably what's giving you the crashes. Reinstall the Battlezone 1998 installer with 1.4, and reconfigure everything. If 1.4 doesn't work, there's always 1.5b that ought to work on just about any machine these days.

Ah you have that crappy 1.8 mod? I missed that. That is the source of all your problems. Don't bother posting again until you have a stock 1.4 installation to test with. Ask yourself... "What happened to 1.6 and 1.7? Why is Ken Miller working on 1.5?". 1.8 is a lie! After investigations, I found out my "New Map" button doesn't work. Clearly I didn't test it enough or I am not familiar with the workflow of creating a new map. I did it wrong. I could have sworn I had it working at some point. Somebody who knows exactly how to create a new map can post the details, and I can automate the process eventually.

Waa I don't have to be so good in English to know what "silly" or more, "crappy" means. I believe you all, sorry for just having mentionned "1.8"^^:]. I just have installed the 1.5b that works very well, except when I try to use the Map Editor during a game for example. It's seems we have to make a topic for all that concerns the Editor like Sporkinator just said. Anyway, if my Battlezone 1.5b works where can I have the last version of Red Odyssey please ? Merci d'avance.

I need help for the Instant Action Maps, after downloading them, I don't know how to use it. Can we use them from the Config Utility 9000 ?

La plupart ici joue BZ 1.4 (did I get that right?). The latest version of the Red Odyssey is TRO 1.3, available with the Battlezone 1998 installer. Unfortunately Ken doesn't have the source code so he is unable to update it like he is the stock game.

Yeah, as you can see here, the Battlezone 1.4 installer includes RO. After you install BZ 1.4 and RO, you can install the recently made NO CD patch for RO.
