Apparently, I have had this laptop for almost one year and I do know that when I freeze for a second, my tank warps. It usually happens when my laptop starts getting warm. I looked this up, and apparently, it's the laptop's way to prevent overheating. This happens in 1.4, but it isn't a problem.
In 1.5, I have been accused of warping intentionally during dogfights, and so I tried several things to correct this "warping." This "warping" apparently happens most of the time according to the people playing with me, but how am I too much trouble when most of the players are able to still hit me? Spork with SPs or a BDog Badger does fine, and Lone Fox with TAGs still hurt.
I tested with someone in 1.5, and I warped a little but then I didn't warp for the rest of the testing according to him.
When I go to correct the warping, I leave game and re-enter, works in 1.4 right and should work in 1.5? Still warping. Change vehicle? Still warping. The usual comments are: "You're not taking damage!" "You're laggy!" "I hit you and you're not dead!" "I think you're intentionally warping!" "I shot you!" "[Insert Complaint here]"
I don't want to cause trouble, so if I am indeed warping, I want to find out how to correct the problem.

Maybe your laptop needs better cooling? Try getting a small fan and having it blast the vent. It's how I keep mine cool, it was overheating too in the summer weather. When my computer overheats, it slows down until the next reboot. This quit commonly happened while I was playing BZ, so I went from 60 FPS to 1 FPS. It was quite annoying, but since getting a fan and monitoring my CPU core temperature, I haven't had the problem.

As for the 60 to 1 fps, that happens on occasion, but not as frequently as I dodge a full charge MAG balls. The complaints happen every time I'm attacked in a DM. In 1.4, I don't get any complaints, but I get alot in 1.5.

Tight budget? I'm on a budget of zero and I already had a small non-oscillating fan. So I set it up to blow air on my computer like this: It's nothing fancy, but it's super effective. My Core Temperatures reach 150 F while playing Battlezone. That used to be the temperature while idle before I added the fan. Now the idle temperature is 70-80, sometimes 90 if the room is a bit hot.

Maybe I can find a small personal fan at Wal-mart for like 10 dollars or something...

Turn off other programs while playing BZ. That'll be enough.
