Issues I'm having... Incident #1: I was playing on Battle Arena with Landshark, MEDUSA, Spork, Droid and Poopy Diapers. All of a sudden, I started to warp. At the time, Spork and Droid were telling me that I had the warp bug. I've never even heard of such a bug and I've never had it. Linked to the Netbook or Windows 7? (Happened Yesterday) Incident #2: This time, it's on Coliseum. DD40's "No Blast" game... I'm trying to fight Spork and DD40, but I end up having a freeze and unfreeze pattern after about 5-10 mins of gameplay. It freezes, drops my fps to 10 or under then gets back to speed. Droid told me it's FPS lag. FPS lag? I've never heard of it or even had it. Again, this a Netbook or Win 7 issue? (Happened Yesterday) Incident #3: Now I'm playing with Joseph R Bz, Cuntz, and Grannypanties (Poopy Diapers?) on Warfield. I'm fighting Cuntz. He has 10 Twin-SP with Popgun Grizzlies plus himself as Twin-SP with Popgun Grizzly. I'm a Twin-SP Grizzly with 5 Thunderbolts (spread out), 3 Bobcats, and a Howie (which was shelling his base). I had a Silo on the front, with a Outpost about 500 meters away. Cuntz engages me and loses his tank and my bombers begin to get direct hits on his now passive Grizzlies... Then I freeze for a second. My forces (which were winning) are now in disarray and I go into the red on hull. He ends up destroying my attack force and makes me retreat in a Bobcat back to my outpost. A second skirmish happens... This time it's right outside of Joseph's base. I now have a Twin-MAG grizzly with MAGs at full charge. I release the weapon right as I freeze. The shot misses him and hits one of his wingmen. I'm out of Ammo. He shoots me out of my tank, but I manage to snipe him as he's attacking one of my scavengers. I grab his tank (his wingmen still think I'm him ) and head to my Supply and Hangar near Joseph's base. I now have more freezing and reduction in FPS from 60 to around 40 and sound that sounds "glitchy and garbled." What gives? (Happened Today) Incident #4: This happens on occasion... My weapons may fire when I recover from a freeze. Incident #5: While on the drive back to Wichita Falls, I'm trying to have maketrn construct my sniper map. It says it has made the files but I find no TRN, HGT, or MAT file. What happened to them? Is it my Netbook and/or Windows 7? Any insight? I don't consider these event optimal Battlezone gameplay, especially should I enter in the next tournament... On a side note... Spock, I did check the link you told me to go to here: My Netbook Thread, but the installation program looked like a first time install but not an upgrade but I will go back and check. Once I get done checking, I'll give you a better update. On another side note, I have Battlezone 1.4 and 1.5 playing under Win XP Compatability mode. Anything else you need to know? EDIT (Applies to Spock): I've checked the website and manually compared them to the versions in the Control Panel and all of my drivers are up-to-date.

(Happened Yesterday) This isn't linked to your Netbook or Windows 7, it's a rare random glitch in BZ multiplayer, kind of like being sniped by the system, or a bunch of ghosts in a DM. Rejoining the game fixes it, and it can happen to anybody. I recorded some video of it, so eventually I'll show you what it looks like.

#1 happens in old laggy games. I believe that in most cases the last joiner is affected, but it may be random. Since dial-up Spork was in that game, everything is clear. #2, #3 and #4 are the same issue - freezing. What programs you run in the same time you run BZ? Try playing next game with BZ only. If it happens again we'll narrow the list of the things that might have caused that. I bet my money on Avast in combination with your slow (for games) netbook. #5 - this is not mapmaking section. Quote: I've checked the website and manually compared them to the versions in the Control Panel and all of my drivers are up-to-date. OK, it seems all drivers there are from June 2010 and that your netbook was updated in the store. They will release new drivers eventually. Keep checking that page every month.

I don't think it's the netbook's hardware because it doesn't take much to run Battlezone, but I have tried without anything but Battlezone and it does the same thing. Does the running processes make a difference? EDIT: Strangely, FRAPS stops the freezing, but my FPS takes a hit. I'm easier to hit at 20 FPS.

It seems that when I spike above 60 fps (it only goes to 65 max), the freezing happens. I can run FRAPS as long as I want and I'll get no freezing. What sucks is I've been searching for V-Sync all over the netbook and I can't find it. Refresh rate is set to 60 hertz (only option the laptop has).

How to disable vsync in Windows 7It tells you how to disable it... or enable it. Does that help? Do laptops ever have Vsync ON/OFF option? I don't think mine does.

How would something like that help him? He has integrated card. My laptop has integrated card too, without vsync off/on button, but it is on by default. Look for it in card options, not all over the windows.

Look for it in card options, not all over the windows. If I had found the V-Sync in the chip menu, it would be in 3D Settings. My old computer had V-Sync in the 3D Settings... That chip was stock. I guess Spork may be correct that Laptops, Notebooks, and Netbooks don't have V-Sync options... Unless I can be proved wrong...

V-Sync is graphic card option, not Desktop or Laptop option. It is accessed over graphic card's control panel. Laptops with normal graphic cards have its control panel, but it may be that those with integrated cards don't. Mine doesn't, but as I said, it is turned on by default, and with it I have steady 62.5FPS in BZ. I'm suprized that your Netbook has it off by default.
