Now when I look back, I see that even your Youtube video wasn't helpful. You just posted it cause you found it by googling Vim's router. You had no idea what's in it or would it be helpful to him. It helped me to see something I couldn't see by reading router's manual, but it turned out Vim already had that checked anyway.

1. I said to try DMZ and explained what it was. I didn't even have to look at your PF topic to suggest it, obviously all the bases weren't covered.
2. You're right, I Googled his router. I don't have his router, so downloading the software for it to see where everything is is pretty moot.
3. The YT video was to see if he missed anything (apparently it helped you); it's already assumed the manual is of no use when the topic reached 2 pages.

I don't see me bragging anywhere, but I see you trying to make it out as if my suggestions weren't of any use (obviously, they were). Tear. You're acting like you're the only human being on earth that knows how to troubleshoot and throws a fit when someone else comes in to help someone else :roll:

With the new title you gave me, maybe we'll actually get more players :lol:

Even if DarkVim was the one who said "thanks" (to you), your "glad I could help" wouldn't be needed. This is Tech support section, people who start topics usually have 2-3 posts overall, so their "thanks" is ok, but the one who helped, is helping people every day, so saying "you're welcome" every time is not needed.

There would be no one happier than me if someone could replace me in Tech Support section, but unfortunately, as said and proved here, there's no such person. When someone competent shows up, I'll step down. If we don't count simple topics where others were giving links for the installers made by me (bragging), I had to interfere on each, otherwise we would lose all players with tech issues.

Posterboy, quit posting to this topic. Your post weren't helpful before, they are not helpful now. Rather try copy pasting my DMZ suggestion (with explanatory link and a screenie) in combination with "get 1.5 if you have port issues". Like that you might get lucky and "help" someone. :lol:

Just so you know, before enabling DMZ you were connecting to ports 49000-51000. Now you use regular ports (used by 95% of the players) 21000-22000.
If I was you, I would still experiment and try to get this working without DMZ (not saying that it can be done).

dmz is the only way. i tried everything with port forwarding.
