I guess that's something like rejoining in strat; it shouldn't be done, but (unfortunatelly) it's an option, so some people do it. I don't think it's a kid or a retard thing, it's mostly done by noobs or classic game disruptors.

There are rare cases when that kind of action is justified (hacker in the game), but then that tank (?) should only go after a bad guy...

I don't know much about bomber games, I'm a stratter and a tanker. I use mouse, not joystick and I don't have split button reprogrammed. And above all I'm not interested in bombers. :)

You are the most active bomber on this forum and since recent in the lobby too, maybe you could explain to all what "stock bombers" (is that how you name your games?) means and what rules have to be followed. There are no general rules in BZ, only moral, so you will have to be specific. Don't say "no spawning" cause that's not a rule and we already discussed it here. Focus on general bomber game rules.

When I first time came online I was playing strat only, so it took me a while to realize what "FFA" means. I remember having problems with "stock bombers" too, cause I thought, of course my bomber is stock, I don't hack, hehe. Later I realized I'm not allowed to pick up weapon powerups when there's "stock" in the title. Explain those things in your bomber guide. Then you will be able to give a link to the people who really don't understand it from the title or from your in-game warnings.

As for troublemakers, that's a bit more complicated... Maybe Spork can explain it?

Most BZ players can fly other ships besides bombers, and when a bomber game is the only game up, I choose whatever ship I want. Get over it. :P

Joining a "stock bomber" game with a tank is hardly on the same level as a strat rejoin. Rejoining in strat when you are defeated is kind of cheap, because your opponent(s) already spent resources defeating you, they shouldn't have to do it again. You should wait for the next strat game. DM is just shooting practice for strat, so I don't see the problem with a few tanks in a bomber game. Makes the death match more exciting. Bombers are big and slow, so I don't see what you get out of trying to force everybody to drive a big slow ship. I think DM is more fun with all kinds of ships in game. If you like a bomber, thats fine, but do us all a favor and leave snipe ON. Snipe OFF games are for those who have never played before and need to get accustomed to commanding their recyclers and other units and/or shooting at their opponents in strat or DM practice.

I stopped respecting "bomber only" rule when I was in bomber game with a bomber and I got kicked from the game just because I killed somebody's pilot who was or was not trying to snipe me, or shooting somebody from behind with my bomber. I then rejoined in a tank since bomber apparently wasn't good enough for the host. I tend to pilot hunt MORE when snipe is off, because I know my opponent has no trump card. ;)

See you in the zone.
