 Post subject: New IA Map: Failed Plans

I'm sure you'll like this one. :D
It takes place right after "The Three Beacons", it uses the same map as in the original campaign.
The AI has a captured Black Dog Recycler, and can build a wide range of Fury and modified Black Dog units thanks to the FuryST units from {CRF}freakOnature.
The complete storyline:

Spoiler:
Commander, after we allied with the CCA because of the Fury fiasco, Sky-Eye
started picking up distress signals from a Black Dog Recycler that
was considered lost before. Various scouting parties tried to investigate the
location the Recycler's signal was coming from, but when they reached
their destination we suddenly lost connection with them. Our intelligence
team thinks the Black Dogs are captured by the Furies, take extreme caution
when approaching a Black Dog unit. You'll be dropped right above the CCA base,
the Recycler Texas is underway to your position.

I tried to set it up, but it crashed about 75 % through loading.
I tried it 3 more times with the same result.

Did you playtest this? The recycler is almost dead before it even deploys...

Did you extract the files contained in the "FuryST Units.cab" file as well?

If you mean the CCA Recycler, thats normal, it shouldn't survive. You should fly off to the Nav Beacon called Rendezvous Point. A NSDF Recycler will be waiting for you there.

I mean both recyclers. Furies are surrounding the turrets, and by the time I get there, they are all under attack.

Ah ok, I understand.
I was working on a patched version anyway, as the AI tends to "base-sit" after some time, this is fixed now, I also added some other little things i'm sure you'll all like, such as APC attacks and Howitzers coming in to bomb you from the hill. :P

Probably the player will now be dropped in its own base, with the Recycler ready to build, so you have a bit more time before the Furies attack you.

Perhaps a bigger NSDF base to start with, as it is after The Three Beacons

My idea on the story was that the base you may have built during "The Three Beacons" got destroyed and you was taken out of battle (wounded perhaps?), when you came back the base was almost completely wiped out, and the Furies already developed the Fury Tank for use in battle, as well as capturing a Black Dog Recycler to build other type of Furies, as well as some modified Black Dog units.

I can of course make a bigger base, but wont it be a little too much on the easy side? Maybe a Silo with 2 Scavengers a bit away from the base guarded by Gun Towers? That seems reasonable to me, as it can be annoying with the Furies blowing up the scavs at the base...
