Battlezone 1

Hello all, just recently joined but used to play alot of bz back in the day. I think the last version i played was 1.2. Honestly im surprised to see the bz community still alive and updated. I just downloaded 1.5 but did not see anyone in the lobby for multiplayer. How many people still actively play or what time of day?

First of all, welcome back!
1.5 is still in beta stage, not many people actually play there. You can better try your luck at the Battlezone 1998 Installer, you can get it here: http://www.battlezone1.net/home/downloads/index.htm. Get the "Battlezone 1.4 Installer (includes The Red Odyssey 1.3)" installation and you are all set.

If you encounter to have any problems post them in the "Technical Support" forum and me or another member will try to help you out.

Actually, yesterday was split 50/50 between 1.4 and 1.5, we had some full DM games and some strategy games. The 1.5 strategy games crashed though, although Ken is constantly fixing bugs, so if you try strat in 1.5 beta now, it should be a lot more stable.

Yeah, withouth doubt you should try it, but if you want to get into the game again its best to first play some games in 1.4, if you come on the right times there is always a few games running. After some time playing you'll find the "hot spot" times when everyone comes online. (here for example if i go online from 21:30 till over midnight I'll always catch a game or 3-4, either strat or deathmatch.)

If you have the opportunity to play MP games in 1.5 please do, feedback is needed to finish 1.5 and make it (at least mostly) bug-free.
