Finally! A NO CD Patch for The Red Odyssey! :D

Before applying this patch, you need the 1.4 server session executable

This will update your Red Odyssey installation and you will be able to play without a CD and without Daemon Tools! Say goodbye to the "Insert CD" pop-up forever! This is what happens when I have too much free time. :mrgreen:

Hi,

I've tried to run the patch but i got this error.
"This program cannot updated the installed version of The Red Odyssey
because of the following reason:

Your version is outdated or corrupted. Get the latest version at
... "

Can anybody help me with a link to get the latest version?

I guess if you installed from the CD, the "odyssey14.exe" (1.4 server session patch) isn't there for it to patch. My recommendation is to wait for Spock to put up a new RO installer on the main site. This NO CD patch was made back when the Battlezone 1.4 installer contained both BZ and RO and it was designed and tested to work with that installation. Since there's no RO on battlezone1.net right now, maybe this patch is deprecated. The new RO installer would definitely have NO CD included though.

In the meantime, those who already have RO can add the 1.4 server session executable to their RO folder and edit their shortcut to point to odyssey14.exe, then apply the NO CD patch.
