I managed to get Battlezone running on my Windows Vista computer by patching it with the latest unofficial patch and also running it in compatibility mode and such.
However, now I face a new problem.
There are no videos playing, except for the intro video which plays fine, but the ones in the menus don't play at all.

What is the latest unofficial patch? Why are you running in compatibility mode? 1.4 is latest official patch and 1.5 is unfinished, but playable. 1.5 shouldn't need any compatibility mode.

I downloaded it from Filefront and it was labled 1.8
http://www.gamefront.com/files/4684040/ ... nofficial/
And the reason I'm running it in compatibility mode is because the game would otherwise crash if I ran it normally.
And before you ask, I have that video codec installed that allows the vids to play.

Many were tricked by that mod (fake patch). Forget about 1.8, pretend it never existed. You can find the real Battlezone on http://www.battlezone1.net. How you managed to find this forum without finding the main site is beyond me.

Huh....
But then what am I supposed to do?
I downloaded an ISO of the game from Abandonia's ISO Cellar.

That's nice that you pirated the CD, but I doubt that will help you right now.

You'll want to uninstall that "1.8" first. Then click on that link Spork gave you, click on "Downloads" on the left, and click on "Battlezone 1.5RC Installer (includes Battle Grounds)". Then follow that until BZ is installed! (You don't need that .iso to play).
