Hey there!
Having spent the last 4 days turning my house upside down looking for my BZ CD to scratch an itch that had appeared a few weeks ago, I found it in not so good a condition (it was bundled with an old graphics card and came with one of those horrible paper sleeves!). Not dismayed, I turned as I so regularly do these days to the internet for my answer and, having found many different versions came across this lovely site with the whole she-bang ready to rock.
However, coming to my subject, I still cant get it to work! I have tried a raw .iso file of the original CD, version 1.4M and BZ1998 from this forum but all are giving the same problem-- when I try to run it, I get an error message "Sorry, there is not enough memory to continue. Please make sure you have at least 50mb free on your hard drive and that virtual memory is not disabled." (which it isnt). I scoured the internet and the only solution I could find was to enable compatability for Win98 which does not fix the issue. I have tried all different compatability modes, running it in 640x480, and checking/unchecking various options in the config but to no avail.
I managed to get BzE "running" but found it is only some quirky multiplayer thing, and its the single player I am seeking (and I understand it is not very good anyway!).
I am running Windows XP64 SP2, with a Q6600 processor, 4gb RAM, and an 8600GT (I know

) graphics card, with DX9.0c and the various codecs that have been specified here although I dont think its a codec issue in the slightest, but I am clutching at straws here!
Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Jim.
