1. First of all, it works, that's good! :)
2. You should really try on making the terrain interesting, a bunch of spikes in the middle just isn't. If you want interesting terrain but can't work with the Battlezone terrain editor consider using bzfrac, get it here: http://www.battlezone1.net/downloads/bzfrac16a.zip, it can create terrains in seconds by using fractal algorithms.
3. Don't only place a bunch of rave gun powerups in the middle of the map, it ends up everyone shooting everyone with rave guns. You should read the mapmaking tutorial in your edit folder, it should give you sufficient information about spawning other weapons than rave guns. If it isn't clear to you, post again and I will try to explain it to you step-by-step.
4. Make a shellmap so players can see a preview of your map when they are in the map selection screen when they created a game. To do so, run Battlezone with the command /shellmap, it will then automatically create a shellmap for you and place it in the main Battlezone directory.

Don't let all of this discourage you to make new maps, mastering the map editor is just a long learning curve.
Good luck! :D
