Did anyone actually do what the scout says? And eject into the base then fight out? I'll be honest, the first time I did it I didn't know what the Eject key was. As such this level frustrated me for a long time, Until I grew a pair, and attacked the base head on. It turns out it wasn't too difficult to take out the two GTs, either using the Mortar, or by rushing in after thumping them. I'll be honest when I first did it I played it on easy, (I was 9/10 when it came out, but It's still possible on hard.)

Yeah I never really understood the scout, I always did the mortar thing too, but i always end up swapping my NSDF tank with a CCA tank anyway

The pilot from that scout APPEARS to be headed towards the empty ships. Though it probably never makes it there. IMAGINE MY SUPRISE! I did that level once, and I was goofing around as a pilot sneaking into the outpost. Then I started getting shot at: by CCA soldiers! I didn't know that happened.

i have done what the scout says, and basically if you go up there he automatically ejects and as far as i know that pilot ceases to exist because otherewise he would eventually make it to one of the 5 empty CCA vehicles in the base. if you eject into the base as well (as i usually do cuz i dont like using the rocket tank ESP on hard mode), you will find, among much else, 2 empty czars, 2 empty paks, and an empty flanker. i destroy all of those by entering and then ejecting, but i save one or both of the tanks. then i go behind the l-power and destroy it. beware; as soon as you start shooting any CCA building in the base an alarm will sound. CCA vehicles on patrol will go to the base and after about a min, 5 CCA pilots will jump out of the 2 cafeterias in the base and go to the empty vehicles, or fight back if there are no empty vehicles. i always run them all over, and then destroy the com tower. from there on its dif everytime.

Actually, I usually do what the scout says and eject into the base, although once I understood BZ's AI and I heard "Commander, we'll never make it by those Gun Towers in one piece", I said "I beg to differ!" and hid behind part of the terrain while my AI units annihilated the distracted Gun Towers. (The towers were focused on me)

hmm, oddly I don't remember playing this level (on either the N64 game or the PC version that I've been playing some of recently).
What exactly is the title of the mission?

What exactly is the title of the mission? its called "Behiind Enemy Lines". at least in the PC version, you start as a rocket tank, with an armory, 2 turrets, a scout and a tank. you gotta sneak into a CCA base surrounded by high cliffs and blow up a communications tower. then you get a recycler and a factory, and hafta destroy the CCA production units to finish the mission. quite an interesting mission; not easy at all on hard mode
