The Czar can be fixed, just needs some .geo modifying; I had one somewhere, but I lost it, have to see if I can find it... In fact, the 1.0 Czar cockpit looked better, IMO: The Bdog Grizz cockpit also needs to be fixed...

Stock model looks like this: yeah? well that's the stock Bz1998 install... which is why I said it needed to be fixed, because Mr. Spock probably doesn't want that in the 1.5 release. btw, the installer file version is 1.3

Battlezone 1998 has an option for custom Grizzly models and you selected it during installation. When testing 1.5, you should be using the 1.5b Installer because 1.5 has different Anet libraries and running the bzone_d3d9.exe in a regular 1.4 installation can potentially cause problems.

The barrel part of the cockpit in the custom model looks the same as the barrel in the stock "broken" model. The stock pre-1.4 "non-broken" model is seen in my ss, the one from the ZFS. If you want to discuss 1.5 Installer, you should at least install 1.5b separate from your 1.4 installation.

You still don't get it... having a round barrel on the black dog grizzly is because of having custom model. Install 1.5b and you won't see that ugly round barrel. We are not discussing any model in Battlezone 1.4 installer anymore. This topic is 1.5 discussion.

Sporkinator wrote: You still don't get it... having a round barrel on the black dog grizzly is because of having custom model. yes, I am VERY aware of that fact. What I am saying is the custom model is broken! Sporkinator wrote: We are not discussing any model in Battlezone 1.4 installer anymore. This topic is 1.5 discussion. yes I know, but I doubt Mr. Spock is going to entirely redo every single model or file, just because it's for 1.5. He probably will transfer things like the 'fixed' grizzly, czar, and golem models, simply because it is easier...

To clear the confusion... there are actually 3 grizzlies.
#1 is stock grizzly, the one that comes with the 1.4 patch. That one is default in BZ98 isntaller. #2 is optional custom grizzly from BZ98 installer. I'm not 100% sure about that one, but reaper claims it is reprocessed original Acti-grizzly. That was the only reason why it got included into installer. #3 is Grizzly before 1.4 patch, which you get after deleting geo files from 1.4 addon. Before I was against touching of addon files, but even Ken Miller confirmed that he did the same thing. That's why that grizzly became new stock grizzly and it is default in 1.5 installer.
If someone has "better" grizzly, or any other ship, you can post your ideas in Mods section, not here.

What that has to do with the 1.5 installer? These BZ2 players ruin every topic with their off-topic rants...

Yeah, he still didn't install 1.5b, so I don't know why he's talking about a custom model that was not included in the 1.5 installer. We didn't make the model, therefore there is nothing we can do.

Mr. Spock wrote: What that has to do with the 1.5 installer? Iff you are going to use the custom grizzly from the Bz1998 installer for the 1.5b installer, it has everything to do with itself. Right? (iff means 'if and only if')Mr. Spock wrote: These BZ2 players ruin every topic with their off-topic rants... well, seeing as I'm not a Bz2 player and I'm not ranting off-topic(quite on-topic in fact), I don't see what you mean... care to explain? Sporkinator wrote: Yeah, he still didn't install 1.5b, so I don't know why he's talking about a custom model that was not included in the 1.5 installer. you're right, I haven't installed the 1.5b installer, BUT, if you will note the "b" after the 1.5 means beta, which means it's not in its final form, which means anything can happen to it. Including adding the custom bdog/grizzly model from the Bz1998 installer. I will get the 1.5b installer when I next go to the coffee house, which might be a little while. Sporkinator wrote: We didn't make the model, therefore there is nothing we can do. wrong! all that has to happen is Mr. Spock has to copy and rename agr21bar.geo to ggr21bar.geo, and wala! you no longer have that irritating little texture problem. If those happen to be the wrong names, I offer my sincerest apologies, and will find the correct name immediately.
