Does anyone know if there's a solution to the way Pilots when told to pick you up, hop out and deploy their sniper rifles, same when they eject and land. Downside is they stay there and don't walk back to the recycler or barracks, which is really annoying.
Any ideas?

I honestly think that's a big flaw in TRO. The pilot has a sniper rifle and he's set to use it, so he can't move.

I wonder if they actually try to snipe the enemy ships when they're in range of the pilots' sniper rifles...
If so, that would be really awesome!

Actually, they don't fire a shot at all. They act as if they were trying to return to base like pilots normally do. Looks like Team Evolve made a mistake in the Black Dog Pilot. The NSDF, CCA, and Chinese pilots don't suffer from sniper rifle syndrome.

Is there any way to replace the Blackdog pilot with a regular NSDF one in the coding so the game can continue as normal?

The Black Dog pilot can probably be fixed, but it would have to be in a mod or a patch.

Any ideas? I don't see that as a glitch or something needed to be "fixed". It is just an idea that Team Evolve chose to put in RO, thinking that it will keep Bdog opponent in fear of being sniped all the time, cause every pilot looks like human in a snipe position. It actually works, I keep shooting all those pilots like crazy. Ejection survival percentage in both BZ/RO is 33.3%. That means every 3rd pilot gets a chance to come back home. And by their home I mean only recycler, cause they dont go back to barracks or something else. Only bad thing about this is when you change ships and other pilot doesn't enter your ship. Before the switch, I usually first find another pilot in snipe position and jump out when I'm about to run him off. Then I tell other ship (which was following me) to pick me up.

Yeah, it's really not such a big deal, I work around it by pushing empty ship onto crouched pilot when switching. If empty ship hits pilot, pilot ends up in ship. May the Black Dog snipers forever fill you with a fear of being sniped!

I don't really fear their bluff. I only fear the real deal CCA Players.
