i was thinking about another activision strategy game called darkreign, and in it, in addition to the campaign and multiplayer, one can select an instant action mode. all you do is pick a map, select computer opponents and their difficulties, and play. in my opinion this would be slightly different and slightly more interesting than the player-designed intstant action maps that we have now.
i'd love to hear what you all think

it s like battlezone 2 have it have instant action mode, It could bee very fun if we added that to battlezone.

a multiplayer sandbox vs ai would be nice but sounds like would create too many problems. As for singleplayer, the playground training map is sufficient.

Heh. Check the date of furykiller's post... Ken Miller started working on 1.5 patch 4 days later.  I think what we need is this.
