1.8 mod is a bit like a virus. It ruins your BZ installation and the game will crash while playing single player missions. It's worse than BzE! I've seen some idiots talking about the possibility of the 1.5 patch before Ken came along, and how we can't call it "1.5" because there's already a "1.8". Don't kid yourself, the mod has a dumb/inappropriate name, just like BzE does.

BzE being so awful, it leads me to wonder why you would waste precious bandwidth on it.
1.8 needs to be scoured from the internet's archives. Hosting it anywhere is a wrongdoing to BZ! People mistakenly install it all the time, and somehow don't know what they did wrong.

BZE is available for download because when it wasn't everybody wanted it. It is a forbidden fruit thing. Now you can get it and see how crappy it is. 1.8 is availiable for download, in this mods section, to clean fake patch-name from it. BTW, someone should contact CNET.

FROM CNET REVIEWS dumbass #1 wrote: First of all.. This Unofficial Patch is legal... It's no different that what a new map or a mod would be. The people who dislike are mostly BZF Slaves. These BZF Slaves are people who follow a person who belives in Dictatorship of Gaming and is afraid of my talents. So he gets his people to post bad remarks. BZ1.8 is easy to uninstall as well under the statmenu. There are 4 lan Clans that use 1.8 non-Stop. Most games are orginized in chat when people want to start a 1.8 game. You could always just try it out and than uninstall... No big Deal. This Unofficial Patch was been out for 10 months and yet people are still talking about it, people still can't stop talking... You think they would stop by now Wrong, unofficial patches aren't legal dumbass #2 wrote: Pros: With 1.8 explosions are better, graphics are better, lighting is better, physics is better - what else could you want added to a 90%+ reviewed game all over the web? This patch quite simply turns Battlezone into a 100% reviewed game, because if it looked and played and sounded like this originally it would have got 100% reviews!
Cons: There is nothing to not like about this patch, downloading and enjoy this great game all over again!
Graphics? Physics? Lighting? Is someone on crack? dumbass #3 wrote: "it iv full of endless fun" That's what your sister told me. Please tell me all three of these reviews are by the same dumbass. Then please tell me where I might find this dumbass, in person, so I may kick him in the nuts.

"Wrong, unofficial patches aren't legal " Someone tell that to GSH at bz2 1.3 development. Apparantly the law hasn't caught up to him in the, say, 4-5 years it has been in development (just some oddball number, might have been more or less). Note: This message is not to assume bz2 1.3, 1.2, or any bz2 type thing is considered not fun, a piece of junk, or any of that. Just saying, there is an unofficial patch being made for a certain game that we know about, seems they haven't been run off to court. 1.5 can also be considered an unofficial patch of sorts 1.8 is still a plague, regardless.

If Activision actually cared about BZ/BZII, they'd come in and put a halt to everything and demand a cease and desist.
Luckily, they don't care about this game because of its "failure." ^.^

Yes, it also has alot of other stuff throwed in like giant explosions and everything. I don't like it at all, the only thing i like is the weapon on the Black Dog Rocket Tank in multiplayer.
