Some clarification: I am posting this so that you will compare my model to the Bz model, and tell me any differences you see, preferably with a picture showing what you mean, so I can fix it. That said, here is my first attempt at the Black Dog Grizzly: remember, this is probably the hardest one yet...

You DO realize that the Black Dog Grizzly (in-game) looks exactly like the NSDF Grizzly, but with a different paint job, right? The tank models from RO intro and outro and various images included with the game are ugly IMO. Good job anyway.

A little too rounded for my tastes, but still good job! I'd suggest making the wings thicker and changing those rockets on the back into the Grizzly's single/6-unit thruster. I've tried to make a model almost 100% as close to the original myself in the last few days, and here's what I've come up with (it's also my first decent model I've made in a 3D program). I used blender. So far I think it's exactly the same (sorry about not getting a picture of the back). The render doesn't have good lighting, but that's the best I could do after a weekend of work (on and off). If you want the model to look at then I can email it to you (the attachments don't allow blend and blend1 files D: ). The side thrusters and the main thruster-thing at the back are all separate so they'll animate right when I get around to that. Side note: I figured it was better using a previous thread than making a new one about my model. I'll make a thread detailing the BZ project I'm making this for later too (I'm hoping to re-create most of the BZ models).

JerreyRoughs' model appears with aggressive expression and is true to form.Yet Josiahs' model appears with clean modern design. if we're talking about a new creation? a hybrid would be nice! BZ

BZ B-b-but that'd be a monstrosity! D: Hey' who knows what'll happen down the road? Anyways, I found the Grizzly texture (I need the others if anyone can give me them!) and I've applied it to the vehicle, along with some minor geometry fixes. Other than animations, the replica model is finished!

BZROM wrote: Great work Must be the best representation of the source material yet. BZ Thanks! I plan on doing at least a few more within the next month or two (eventually I'd like to re-create them all). Though I'll need the original textures (or a way to extract them) or new ones. I prefer the old ones myself, especially since they help go toward the "blocky" feel of Battlezone that BZ2 left out. I don't like the look of that game at all, and I don't think I'll ever play it (*I haven't played BZ2 yet). The next unit I plan on making is the Soviet scout unit. I've always loved it, and not just for that extra minigun .
