Hey, where can I find some instant action missions for Red Odyssey? Or are there even any out there?

I don't think there are any. But if you know how to make IA missions in BZ, you can make them in RO too.

Too bad. But, I'll get to it, and post what I come up with on here. One quick thing though: are there any differences between a BZ IA map and a TRO IA map, besides the units used and a little bit of the game engine?

I don't know if anything is different.

I believe that, beside different units and planets (RO planets are included in BZ98 installer), the only difference is in .bzn version. BZ .bzn's are version 1037, while RO are 2004. There were few RO IA maps around but they got lost. I'm still in the process of uploading stuff here, so maybe I'll bump into some RO maps as well... Anyway, there are over 200 BZ IA maps and less than dozen are really good, so don't have high hopes for those 2-3 made for RO...

Lol, ok. I'll probably try any TRO ones you put up, just in case, but I suppose for now I'll have to content myself with making my own. Although, I might (If I can track the original authors down and get their approval) convert some of my favorite BZ IA's (like Nemesis, Run Away, and Heartbreak Ridge) to TRO, and put the Black Dogs and the Chinese in there. It would be especially interesting on Nemesis, to have the Black Dogs tangling with the Chinese. Can you imagine, all those hundreds of enemies, but all cloakable, so they just shoy up in the middle of your base at random! As if that map wasn't tough enough...

Sorry to bump an old message, but I couldn't help but sign up for the forums and post a reply to this one when I saw it...
I still have my BZ Instant Action map collection backed up on an external hard drive. I have 204 BZ maps and 4 made for TRO. They are titled:
Chinese Mission 9 Chinese Mission 10 Phantoms Recovery
and all have Readme files dated 1999.
If I recall correctly, Phantoms was on par with some of the better BZ IA maps. If anybody would like to post these somewhere for others to download (I'm assuming that they're public domain at this point), let me know and I can send them via email.

Surely you don't believe I wouldn't be interested? I would very much like to try these out.

Chinese Mission 9 and 10? Now that sounds interesting indeed. 204 maps? WHAT!?

-Nick DO WANT. I suggest placing them in a pack and using a file hosting site like megaupload, 4shared, or opendrive.

Also remember to organize them by which race you play, and for each race place all the maps in reverse-alphabetical order, rated on a scale of both 1-5 and 1-10. Attach a walkthrough for each one, revealing weaknesses in the enemy or bugs and glitches for each map.

The majority of the BZ IA maps I have are already posted at the link Mr. Spock provided in the fifth post of this thread. As such, I'll limit my contribution to the RO maps...for now I'm attaching the first three maps to this post...hopefully it works. I'll post the fourth here in a few seconds. Eagles - there was a time oh so many years ago when I could have done all of that off the top of my head with my eyes closed!

I see a couple of you guys downloaded these maps. Anybody try them out yet? Any impressions or favorites for the group?

I've been meaning to get these played, but I haven't found the time. I'll get them played soon enough. Thank you for putting them up for download
