I was away from Bz for a month... after long 2 days of lobby waiting I finally find opponent for a strat, my old buddy - Sir Stratking!

I was under alias and when he asked for a strat I suggested Moon. He wanted more choices so I added Corner Pocket and The Compass. He was thinking for a few minutes and decided to go with Compass.

After initial scrap collecting I was set SE and he was set NE. I don't know what he was doing, but I collected around 3/4 of the scrap. We fought a little in the middle, but soon he realized that I'm too strong so he went over the mountains to destroy my recycler. Although I had pretty good defense he took it out, after all, he is stratking.

Luckily, my constructor survived, so I managed to reorganize and started pressuring him. Soon he was down to 1 minelayer and 2 towers. I conducted mass attack and soon it was all over.

Like I said, he didn't know it was me, so he even said GG. I didn't hear that from him for a loooong time , but indeed, it was a GG!

He immediately said "1 more" and opened another Compass. He was much aggressive this time and my silos and scavs were going down very fast. We were again set SE - NE, but I didn't have much more scrap this time. At one point he decided to move his undefended rec to the E geysers. I saw the chance and went for his rec. He didn't even try to save it, he just went for mine, he wanted a queen exchange, but I took his constructor too. Then he jumped into his rocket tank with comet and went onto mountain behind my base. He threw a lot of ammo beside him and started whipping my base. When I sent my units to destroy his factory and armory, and climbed to get him, he just said "gotta pick up kids" and left...

good to see you're still alive and kicking JonBlund! too bad you decided to stay away from BZ. somehow i do understand, BZ took away a few years of my life too! probably thats why i stick to silly DM lately hehe. as long as i'm having fun.. i didnt retire from strat completely, as described in my first warstory ever! (damn i've played some good games in the past, all gone and forgotten now : )

i always wondered.. was jens being sarcastic when he chose his alias long ago? back then he was known as the lag shielded minelayer who never waited for an opponent but always needed a head start so he could place some dirty minestacks here and there. his warpy minelayer was hard to kill and he probably won some games because of it, making him feel like the King of Strat. Anyway, i hardly ever strat anymore lately, but once every few weeks i like to jump into a strat game trying to do some damage. this week i felt like joining a game, hosted by Strat"King". I don't know why, but he picked a 6 player mars map, way too large for a good game, as there were 3 players at max in that game, not to mentiopn the lag with more players, tho lag is the basis of succes of his early Kingdom hehe. he built a base in the centre, towers, hangar, supply etc, so i decided to place some supply near it and brought 2 scouts to remove his centre base. i expected some good fighting there, but it was so easy! like a hot knife through butter, hehe. his tank skills always have been poor so it didnt take long before he lost his first life. i built a few towers, so of course he came with a few comets, unfortunately for him resulting in his own death. but due lack of concentration of my side, he managed to destroy my constructor with a comet as i was too late figuring out where he was. after he blew up my constructor, i destroyed his rocket tank and he went flying again. now the most unexpected thing happened, NOT! he left the game! hehe, lying about an unhandled exception. hehe, not a great warstory, but a typical example of stratking's style. an anti- climax? yes! thats jens..!

Hi Mr Spock, it's (DO) Untouchable here.

First of all, I'd like to say thanx for your strat tips here and there and for pointing me in the right direction in order to at least compete with people in this discipline.

Anyway, my war story isnt very good, but I'll tell you anyway. I finished playing Sir Stratking about 10 mins ago. You know how the last 2 weeks I have been battered and bruised on various strat maps due to my lack of ability. But.....I have been improving slowly. Despite defeat after defeat I have stuck with it and tried and tried again. So..today I played Stratking, and I won! To be honestm, this was mainly down to taking a defensive stance and not attacking at all. When he came to me, I was ready with my trusty sniper rifle and I managed to take him out a couple of times. I destroyed his ships just outside my base and got abit more scrap. I ended up getting killed a handful of times by driving over mines he had laid just outside my base, I assume he must have piled up multiple mines in the same spot in order to take me out in a 1er. Anyway, I took his last life by jump sniping his minelayer just ouside my base. So...I finally won a strat. I thiought I was gonna get something like "well done gg, you finally beat me", but no, I got "nice snipe hack" and he left. Was just abit disappointed since I have taken so many beatings from you and him, and the 1 victory I get and I get called a hacker! He says that he has never jump sniped a tank before? Surely this cant be true? I did explain that I had spent 3 years on this game doing nothing but snipe, hence the reason I am rubbish (but getting better) at strat, and rubbish at DM. Anyway, thats my war story, I won my first game and got called a hacker, brilliant.

for s*** sake ......will jens ever become a human being ? im amazed that everyone he plays is a hacker! is anyone in bz not a hacker ?well if jens beats you i suppose you are not hacked !
i just pulled a low down stunt today against a player named white dragon....he was blasting , so i splintered ...way i figure it is , if you can approve a weapon dragon so can i !
i prefer no blast no splinter ...but hehe , ill run what i want long as you do the same .FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO PLAY HONEST AND GGS ....THANK YOU FOR THE YEARS OF FUN IVE HAD IN THIS GAME!

Hehe, hey guys. Nice to see other names than Jon, HAL and Spock in "Warstories". BTW, topic Warstories (old), is still expecting new-old stories, Jon and I are bringing them back in shifts. He's on the road ATM, so we stopped at around 1/3 of what that topic should look like when he gets back. Hopefully we will see him then in the lobby too…

Untouchable, I'm glad you are improving. You don't have to thank me, thank you for becoming one of us. If we could only drag Tansion Tamer more often from that silly DM...

I remember my first days here when I was losing every game I entered. Guides and tips from Jon helped me a lot, questions and answers are very important, no matter how stupid they are. Also, I have privilege to have very good strat opponent with who I can play and test things in LAN. He's a (little bit) better player than me and that's the thing that pushes us both forward, for me to achieve his level of playing, for him to keep that advantage he has. Practice makes it perfect. I probably said that (too) many times, but it's the truth. I learned the most by playing (losing) from the big guys. Fair play with GG and smile in the end is what will get you respect from others and chance for a rematch, chance to do it better in the next game.

There's nothing wrong in losing, it is only in how you take loses. Stratking is not very good at that, like Valak said, the one who beats him is a hacker. So don't worry about it Untouchable, he said that to all of us, maybe me the most, hehe. I can only give you advice that Jon gave to me: "don't even try to explain him that you are not a hacker, he already knows that".

Valak, there are only 2 good stratters that use CCA these days, BUM and DarkVim. BUM uses blasts on his CZAR and DarkVIM sp stabber/mag, so White Dragon is… I bet he didn't like your splinters…

Hehe Valak, I was suspecting who is Paleogod from Jon Blund's game, but although Thebes had same gameplay (as Jon described) I would have never guess that it's the same person...

I played interesting strat few days ago… Moon, HAL and I, 2 lives each. I was on west, he was on east, we left the middle open.. After most of the initial scrap was collected, I moved with my factory and constructor in the middle. Silo and barracks were built. With howies I was firing at his base, with APC's I was trying to take down his towers in front and slow down his scavs. My attack was a complete failure, probably because I left my rec home...

My rec was NW, his was NE and while he was finishing my outpost in the middle, I was sneaking towards his base... few minelayers and a walker were there to welcomed me, I didn't mind them and I started shooting at his rec. I saw red bar over the rec and I was thinking, yes, few more shots and I got it, but then... bum... sniper, and I was at my spawn again.

New tank with SP stabbers quickly picked me up and I hurried toward his rec, hoping that it is still not fully recovered. I rarely play like that, but after 50 games with Jens, you start thinking like your opponent, hehe. When I came there rec's hull was at 2/3, and although number of his units was much bigger than number of mine, I managed to finish it off.

I was low on scrap and lives, but HAL was without a recycler. He became very good sniper and playing against those like him is never easy, wherever I go I see his rifle and my units are getting sniped constantly. If I didn't know better, I would probably screamed "hacker!" a few times.

So there I was, fighting for every peace of a scrap with my tank and few scouts, and there was him, guarding his scavs with bunch of units, towers and huge minefiled...



I realized that I can't reach his constructor because it was strongly guarded, so I tried to reach his factory, which was on the same place where his rec was. I managed to destroy it but when I was running home I got blown up as well. While I was in the air, I told one of my scouts to pick me up, but I landed near other scout and told him to pick me up as well. I thought that first one will ignore my order, but he didn't. HAL was behind me all the time in his wounded tank, and when he saw first empty scout he switched vehicles and started dogfighitng with me and the rest of my units.

What happened in the end is hard to explain... you better watch it yourself...

the player name used (thebes) wich is fact a style of stone projctile point that
i collect .any ruthless gameplay is possible on my part on rare occasions
im not perfect . jon is one of my favorite players so a little abuse must come his way from
time to time ... hehe jon .

Hehe, fun games with Valak yesterday.

First one, Battle by the Sea, was decided after big battle on/for the third side. All that scrap went into my silos.

Second one was more intense, sync off with 4 players on Blast Chamber. As soon as I joined, Strat"king" went on my rec with few scouts, armed with dual SP stabbers. After I turned those into scrap I was ready for his next attack(s). Jens came for my rec few more times, and gave me some more scrap... Soon it was just Valak and me, but, as he told me in the end, this was one of those game when you "connect good" , so I was destroying his stuff very quickly and soon it was all over.

Edit:
Another good sync off strat was played this weekend, Blast Chamber with Valak, Shad and me. It started great, with few good fights among the three of us, but unfortunately, at one point, Valak wasn't able to kill my APC pilots anymore. I wish he told me that while we were still in the game, not when the game was over, because I felt few times on my skin (with T-34, Stratking and Shogun) how it is when MDM mortar suddenly stops working.

Also, at one point I dropped around 50 of those little creatures because Shad and Valak were all around my rec. Lot of pilots can cause low FPS on slow machines (I was below 30 all the time) and Valak said that it slowed his comp too. Sorry bud, I was just trying to survive...



Somewhere in the middle of the game Dirty Hippie joined, he sniped for a while, but there was no scrap for him to stay too long in the game. Good to see him again, I was afraid that BF2 took him forgood.

Later Westpac joined and rejoined and rejoined... He came for Valak's rec and after a 5-6 tries he made it. Valak and I killed him few times, but it became pointless because he just kept rejoining, so we all said GG and left. Game without a winner, but fun anyway.

For those who don't know what MDM mortar bug is I will explain it:
The biggest problem about it is that you can't notice it right away when there's constant fight going on. At first you blame it on the lag, but as time goes by you are becoming aware of the problem, which is in MDM detonator, not in mortar, mines or pilots like some think. And it is not mutual, one person can't detonate (he sees detonation but nothing happens), but the other person can detonate (he doesn't see opponent's detonation and he thinks that opponent is holding ctrl while firing). The best thing to do then is to order regular mortar from armory for your tank, which works because it doesn't require detonation, and/or to start building bombers for efficient killing of mines and apc pilots.

Citadels with Stratking

Game started too quiet, Jens was nowhere to find, only few his scavs wandering alone. It seemed like he wanted me to kill them so he could discover my position... same goes for his navs, they are everywhere, looking into them is like looking into his eyes, but killing them is telling him where I am... sometimes, when I'm far from my base, is very hard to decide what to do...

After a long 10 minutes I saw a lot of his units in the middle, but I had a lot of units with me so I was not afraid. Actually, I felt relief for finally finding him, because when I know where he is I know that my rec is safe. His APC's started dropping pilots, his rocket tanks started locking comets on me... It was madness... I was doing pretty well, I was winning that battle but then I realized that something is wrong... I couldn't see his tank anymore, it was there when the fight started but now I wasn't sure if he has been ejected or not...

Soon, red on radar near my rec answered on my question... I headed back home, cursing on myself how stupid I was letting him to fool me like that... I knew that I was low on hull and ammo, so even if I make it home before my rec is gone, I will be only able to snipe, so I reminded my miners to mine... When I got there I saw him sliding on a inner side of a mountains, avoiding my mines in front. While he was in the air he already started shooting on the rec... While I was approaching, I pressed "5" and rec was yellow already... I started building scavenger because I was too far to save the rec, but then he landed and activated last row of a mines in front of rec... on screen I saw "sir stratking's ship destroyed", "sir stratking killed"... rec was red and smoking, but the danger passed... huh, that was close.

I reorganized and went to protect that big scrapfield in the middle, but when I came there I saw Jens securing the area in his minelayer, his cons was already building stuff and his new wave of apc was coming at me... I lost everything, but he did too... we fought for that middle for a long time, there was too much scrap there to let it go to opponent...

When I saw messages "sir stratking's ship destroyed by sir stratking" i realized that he gave up, he started destroying his cons home in peace. I knew that if I don't hurry he will soon make more scrap than what lies in front of me...

When I finally got to his base, his was building 10th cons. At his gates hidden turrets with sp stabbers hurt me just enough for me to back down, I had to withdrawn and find a place for building my outpost. I decided to go on all or nothing and I built barracks and supply on a flat surface on his west entrance. He was mining and sending APC's, I was shooting and returning with APC's. He started sniping my APC's, jumping into them and using them against me... I thought I'm lost, I was low on offense, and my reinforcement was coming slow... Few times I was very low on hull but repair from armory saved me just in time.



At one point he lost another life and then I saw my chance. I had 1 yellow APC and my yellow tank with full ammo, I cleared mined path with mortars took down his last 2 turrets and order to apc to attack his rec... I caught him trying to snipe it and then killed him again. It was all over, little things decided in the end, 1 repair more to him, 1 less to me and who knows what would happened... great game.

Not so long ago I did a Bz strat tour with BUM. One evening (morning to him) we played Corner Pocket, Citadels, Compass, Moon, Ice Ice and Theater of Pain, some maps even few times. He was crying all the time, it was always something... rushing, east-west, lag, fast building, lame howitzers, lame snipe or something like that... Few times even J.T. Kirk joined our games, just to watch if everything was regular, but BUM still wasn't happy... Soon, I ran out of tissues and decided to record one of our games in hope that he will stop crying...

It was Ice Ice and it was the only game that lasted more than 30mins. Actually it lasted more than a hour but I had to cut everything but last 10mins (you tube limitation). I will tell you what happened in the beginning and the rest you can watch...
I built a silo on my spawn and hurried on the 3rd side, BUM was already there blasting with tank and towers. I managed to deploy rec and collect scrap around geysers, but he got all scrap from the passage so he had a little advantage... I was trying for half an hour to "get out" but his blasts wouldn't let me. The game was boring, like every game with BUM, but that's how it is when you fight against blasts... I hope that this video will be helpful to those who are having trouble with blasting CZARs...

I played a game recently with start king and westy. They were cheating so I used snipe hack to my advantage and other tweaks. Why because they wanted to team and use infinate scrap.

Was the option to cheat hard for you to decide? Did you play a three way map ? Cant say
i havent thought about myself when some one plays lame,but id bet you joined their game , had the option to leave , and also the option to play lame tactics as well insted of using a cheat. so many options ......so little character . btw i saw your'e comment concering
my opinion on scrap in strat .....begining to bore you? lol You have no ability to strat ,therefore your'e opinion does not matter .In my eyes you must be bored alot as you have nothing better to do then cheat .again .............scrap is gold it is oil it is Helen of Troy ,why else would we fight ? without scrap its just a big dm .
