I have been looking for a way to play battelzone on my gateway fx laptop for a while now, since vista just doesnt like it...I downloaded the installer BZ works unlike before with just a disk install; however, I setup the Daemon Tools per instructions and mount the iso but get an autoplay that wants to open in media player or show the files, no exe file to be found only 2 avi files sposedly on the iso which wont even open in media player (yes i tried). If I use the shortcut on the desktop for RO I get unhandled exception like I would with BZ and no patching or config tool.
What can I do? Am I missing something? please help!

Quote: I setup the Daemon Tools per instructions and mount the iso but get an autoplay Ignore autoplay, or even better, set it to action "none" and "do the same next time". Quote: If I use the shortcut on the desktop for RO I get unhandled exception If your desktop shortcut for BZ works then copy-paste render.cfg and bzplyr.def from your Battlezone folder inside Battlezone 1998 folder to The Red Odyssey folder, and start RO again.

If that's the case, you need to use the Red Odyssey window mode shortcut in start menu for playing Red Odyssey.

brhino617 wrote: I downloaded the installer BZ works unlike before with just a disk install Your first post was saying that BZ works. That's why I suggested copy pasting of the setting files. If both games are not working then that's pointless, of course. Your problem is in something else and you posted it in the wrong place (I split the topic now). Why don't you start here...

I can only run in windowed mode from config tool, want to get red oddessey up and running but cant get past an "unhandled exception" message. Any ideas? While in window mode, set resolution to 800x600 or higher, then try full screen in HW mode, it should work. Window mode works only in 640x480, while some PC's don't work in such a low res when in full screen.
