I have a issue with battlezone 1.

I have Windows XP
AMD Anthlon 65 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+
2 Gigs of memory
Nvidea 8600 GT PCI 1.0
I use on board sound

Here is what happens to me. After about 30 minute or so of playing the ground goes yellow alot with everything except the sky I have already try compatibility mode of windows 98, and turning all the graphics settings to the lowest they can go but it still happens. And even put the game resolution to my size of my desktop and it still does not work.

Do you know what might be going with my game?

Why don't you select hardware mode (when it asks)? :)

Sounds like firewall blocking BZ server... I had the same issue with Comodo Firewall. You should run BZ the first time in Window mode (be sure resolution is 640x480). Like that you will be able to answer firewall question(s) with an ease and then continue to Multiplayer. There could be more firewall questions when joining game, so stay in window until that is done too. When all firewall questions are answered (if you can play MP game), exit BZ and start it in full screen HW mode (main shortcut).

Software works better then hardware surprisingly because when i used harware mode on original bz1 on cd it messed up like topguns. I was able to get it to work and yes it was comodo firewall pro v2.4 free. I usually keep it in windowed mode anyways since it runs better.

Are you using the Configuration utility to lauch game topgun and what options are selected?

2.0GHz Dual Core Processors
3.5GB of RAM
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (graphics are onboard)

I got the hard drive in Geppetto's laptop replaced, and XP wouldn't install, so I got Windows 7. I assume it's 32 bit.

Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit
1.6 GHz processor
1 GB RAM

I expected to have issues after reading posts on this forum about Windows 7, but I installed Battlezone and it ran just as well as it does on my XP laptop... flawlessly. Didn't need any compatibility mode at all.

Hi there,
Im testing some options at the moment und trying to squeeze out the best ingame-graphic qualitity possible on my older rig.
Specifications are:
Turion 1.60 Ghz
1.5 GB RAM
Radeon Xpress 200, 128MB shared Memory, Catalyst 12.08, no overclocking yet

After recognising that the use of FRAPS and AA results in crappy fps, I did some shots with another Screenshot-Tool.
I did that with three scenes from NSDF mission 1.
The first is alway in 640x480 with all graphical options on.
The second was made on 1024x768, resized to 640x480, 150% view-distance and with 2xAA and 8xAF, so I guess this should be the nearly best you can squeeze out of the engine (at least on my rig).

I returned to Vista, and now cannot play fullscreen software mode either, although I can watch cutscenes, and the colors are back to normal. The only mode that seems to work is windowed software/hardware. However, in this mode, mouse sensitivity sucks...

I can't even play the game in Vista, dual boot to XP if you really want to play the game well.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.
3.00 GHz
1.00 GB of RAM.
Has NVIDIA Quadro NVS 285.

I originally believed that Bz wouldn't run on my machine due to it normally crashing on the Win7. That was the case until the Vulcan made me aware that 800x600 resolution or higher is needed to successfully work bz on Win7.

Works flawlessly; here's how it looks on my screen.

Hey! I'm also getting the error that I don't have enough memory period. The game won't turn on. Here's my stats.

OS: Windows Vista 64-bit
CPU: Quad-core 2.4GHz
RAM: 4-gigabytes
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 5670

I have it working fine on my XP netbook computer, but I'd like to use my main computer; largely because I'm working on a Starcraft 2 Battlezone mod.

You didn't mention what operating system you have. (for example, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, etc)

My game runs perfectly in any mode, other than the map glitches. I guess I'm just seeing if there's a way to fix the issue of stuff on the map showing up as just red, white, or green boxes.

OS - Windows Vista x64bit
RAM - 8GB
Graphics - Integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9100
BZ Installation - BZ98 Installer v1.4
Issue - Just the map stuff.

I assume it's just a thing between my graphics "card" (integrated chip) and BZ, but I'm not 100% sure.

I've got three problems to keep you guys on your toes

First my laptop:
OS - Win7 32bit
RAM - 1.00GB (766 MB usable)
Graphic card - ATI Radeon 3100
Driver - ati, version 8.632.1.2000
BZ installation - BZ v1.4
Issue - 1.4 will not run, error "unhandled exception" shows.

Home Desktop (2 problems)
OS - Win7 32bit
RAM - 4.00GB (3.50GB usable)
Graphic card - Nvidia Geforce 7600GT
Driver - Nva, version 8.12.12.6099
BZ installation - BZ v1.4 & BZ v1.5
Issue - 1.4 will not run, error "unhandled exception" shows. 1.5 game will crash if a lot is going on in a game, for example if I use a thumper get caught in it wile another tank is exploding the game will crash.

1.4 can't run on that laptop in HW mode. Your only option is Win mode or SW mode.

On desktop PC set BZ resolution to 800x600 or higher. That should fix 1.4 issue. 1.5 issue should be reported to Ken.

4GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS
Bz Installer v1.3
Router: 2 netgear wired/wireless routers
