I see a few stratters do not use everytool in the box. The strat guide on here explains the importance of units as far as how to use and apply them for your situation. One unit for instance is a howie. I always have a few howies around grouped to a f-key. I was playing canyon with 3 other players in a 2v2 team strat. I collected scrap and moved my base to hill on south end above one of my opponets base. I look up and see smokey on top of the mountian while I am on the hill. I tell my howies to attack him all the while he is throwing splinters at me. He runs off to his base after taking some damage, but my howies are still raining down on him. His tank was destroyed and he left the game. Sorry for the rant just trying to help if I can. See you in the scrap fields

Sore loser. Howies are good for that. He just wasn't flying evasion. You can dodge the howies, but it takes some practice. And as for raining splinters, that must have been painful. My unsung unit is the Turret. I noticed that no one really uses them online. Turrets are my friends. PAK, Badger, whichever. I have had re-armed turrets save my behind more than once. Truth be told, I have only played 3-4 online matches (lost all of them), but Turrets saved me in all of them (except the first one on the moon, see warstories for that sucker).
So here is the short story. How a Badger Saved My Life by CerberusAlpha09, many thanks to the other NSDF dude who played me (I am horrible with names). So, I just finished this HUGE dogfight, I swear, was massive, 11 tanks on both sides, me with 4 grizzlies, 3 bobcats (yes I use light tanks), and 3 bombers, and me in my trusty old grizzly. He had mostly tanks, maybe one bomber. So I had been blown out of my vehic, but my bombers were causing chaos (rocket bombs are pretty damn good), and my troops won overall. But all of them were damaged pretty badly (fun as they may be RB's cause friendly damage too), so I pulled all of them back to base, and decided to walk. So I get back to base, and start construction on a new tank for myself. when it finishes, I give it a flash cannon and sp-stabber, and head out on a solo "I AM REALLY BORED" flight. Then I run into a WALKER of all things, and run like crazy, cause that sucker started PGing like crazy and raining SP-Stabber shots all around me. I surf around to the back (yes I learned this time, I left 4 Badgers there armed with SP-Stabbers) and run into more bombers. So I really want to know where all of these guys come from, cause I just fought them. I figure he had them at his base. Put simply, they trash my tank (took two of them with me), and attack my base. And find my turrets. Who total their little behinds (most of them were pretty badly damaged, courtesy of MDM's and Thumpers).
I almost got bombers up the rear again. But thanks to TURRETS I survived. So ALL HAIL THE BADGER AND PAK!!!!

Just generally thinking of all the units, do tugs serve really any significant purpose at all in multiplayer?

I once jumped out of my tank only for it to sink in the ground where I could not get it. I used a tug to get it out, but that is the only time in multiplayer I have used one.

Don't use flash in multiplayer. It's practically useless, with full load you won't be able to destroy even 1 ship.

I say add a Tug to vehicle selection in 1.5 Patch, if it ever happens. OR fix the falling-underground bug.
