Been a while! Been a whiiiile phew. How is everybody? BZ still fun? BZR's been pretty good, has its ups and downs ya know, for ever feature added there's one that they broke, haha.
Anyway, made some Pluto maps and it was requested that they be ported to 1.5 and while I was happy to oblige I was only able to really port two of them since one map relied on the new terrain system too heavily.
Still, two new maps is nice, right? :P

Death Valley:
2-player map with a short and narrow valley linking the bases of both players. 4 geysers for each player and plentiful scrap, intended for some hardcore howitzer play.

Nitrogen:
2-player map with plentiful but small scrap deposits and 3 canyons separating the North and South ends of the map. Intended for a good mix of standard strategy and special tactics.

Just tried these maps out, they look really nice! I think you nailed it with those Pluto textures.

The only thing I noticed is that the base textures look a bit rough.
You might need some extra cap and diag textures to blend them in nicely, I believe Redux does the blending automatically so that might be why you didn't make them. Not really a major issue either way.

Is it OK for me to upload these maps to the Maproom as well?

P.S. You included MakeTRN in the zip archive. :)

I frequently include MakeTRN in the zips of maps I make... it's a bad habit of forgetting it in there, whoops.
Go ahead and put these in the Maproom! the more people who find and try these the happier I'll be.

As for making additional caps, I will consider it, the base tiles could certainly have more effort put into them.

Really nice, Deus. Finally, we got a real Pluto for BZ. :D

I made some more primitive attempts at Pluto based on the BZ version, but these are the bomb. The "official" textures.
