 Post subject: Problem W/ Terrain (Shows All-White) on Instant Action Maps

I downloaded two Instant Action maps, dethblow & Venus Badlands Skirmish, and loaded them according to the instructions here: adding-maps-t2111-15.html.
However, I did this on Battlezone Redux which I bought from GoG.

The maps load fine with no error messages but the terrain is all-white and see-through.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Battlezone 98 Redux needs a texture atlas added to the .TRN file. I don't remember the specifics, it's been a long time since I ported a map.

I am the author of dethblow, and depending on which version you downloaded, you may have a custom sky map in there that is causing the problem.

If you open the terrain file (dethblow.TRN) look in the sky section and see if this is there:

[Sky]
SunTexture=sun.0
SkyType=0
SkyHeight = 110
SkyTexture= dethbsky.map

You should change dethbsky.map to venus.map and see if that fixes your problem.

There were 2 version of this map released, for 1.5 I included a custom sky in hi-res color, since later versions of 1.5 support nice sky textures.

But the redux requires these custom textures to be converted. You could ask Ded10c on steam exactly how to go about that, I haven't messed with any of that stuff.

And like Sporkinator says, there must be a ref to an atlas in any redux TRN file. Like this:

[Atlases]
MaterialName = ve_detail_atlas

You can stick that in under any of the other TRN sections, make sure you don't paste it within another discrete section, however.
