Hello there, my name is Roger Smith.
(From the anime show "Big O", if anyone does not get the reference).

I joined from a youtube video I saw the link here to in.
I would like to feel welcomed. :)

However, I can't play this game that this site supports and provides downloads for, since my computer is Windows 7 and I had already tried to get it working (which did not work).
So, I will be a forum member but not a game player, sorry.

I may not post alot, though, since I have other memberships on other forums (pokemon forums, though).

Mmm, that's okay, but I'm more of a forum poster than an online gamer.
I might try to get it working again (I gave up after a few tries) but I don't see myself playing for awhile.

I'm much too shy to try online gaming, I prefer to play bots and the AI instead.
It's where I can concentrate and think out my moves (like in chess) better, rather than a fast paced online session where I can't do things like that.

Well, either way I will most likely just be another poster on this forum.

Welcome! :D
I can understand where your coming from, the AI is more predictable in SP than in MP strat where you have a human opponent. Hope you will visit us in the Zone sometime! :D

Well, it isn't that it is predictable that I prefer to play against it, it is more for this reason :) :
(Not that it isn't, but that it is not the main reason itself)

I know its strategies / It plays fair (ie. it won't resort to dirty tricks and backstabbing and other trick moves, unlike in multiplayer games where you and another "team up" to beat the other players out of the game, then you both commit treason and beat down each other).

Besides, I like to think ahead and plan my moves around what sort of a counter my opponent would throw at me to beat my earlier tactics. I'm usually thinking a few moves ahead of where me and my enemy are at and onward to the next plan.
I'm just saying, is all.

Play single player on hard. If you finish it, you are ready for online strat :)

If you get BZ up and running, try a few of the IA missions, like Blast Chamber, Canyon Madness, Par 3 and Paranoia. Those 4 can help you learn the layout of a few multiplayer maps, and if you can hold your own and defeat the enemy, you should try online strat. :)

Welcome to Battlezone.

Who's YouTube video lead you here? If it was "BigJGames", that's me. :P
