Wow, that is impressive. I managed to kill 1 of the walkers, but then those (unmentionable word) snipers took me out every time I tried to evade those walkers. GRRRRR

I wish I could try this mission again. Due to 1.4 not working in my Win7 (and the fact I like the 1.5 changes too much ;) ) maybe someone could make this into an IA mission? :D

Good idea, I have some ideas how to do this, still have to work things out (and play sammy mission with cheats on to see how far it goes :P)
You wont see the score though, im afraid.

That's fine by me, I'll just judge my score by how many "waves" of enemies I pass! :D

I think the mission uses special code or mission script, so it will probably be impossible to port to BZ. You will always be targeted... if you eject, hop out, doesn't matter, you will always be targeted by all of the enemies. Normally ejecting can throw them off the trail, but these enemies are determined to kill you no matter what. I'm pretty sure the mission never ends, and the attack waves just keep getting larger and larger until you are destroyed and killed.

Right... clear a mission. At the mission complete screen, type "sammy" and then press "next mission". You will end up in a world of pain. :)

Yeah, I know its impossible to port it to BZ with no changes, however I am trying to get as close as possible to the original experience (maybe I'll make a opening in the map where units come from, still dunno), if I'll get this to work i'll post it in mapmaking topic.

Oh man... this mission is painful. I made it past the 1st wave, and then the 2nd wave of light tanks almost got me. I barely managed to get them, and when the bombers came I discovered a tactic. Zip up on to the cliffs, and then turn around and use 'S' and "E" to hang up there like a bat. The bombers will cluster down around you, attempting to shoot, and they will often blow themselves up. then you just send some double SP-stabbers in when you see an opening. And the other good thing is that the snipers can't get you. So I made it past the bombers, then when the Heavy Tanks came I got ejected and floated up to the cliffs, sniped 4 and then hopped into one and blew the rest up. I actually made it to the 3rd wave of light tanks, and then that was it!!! I scored 147 or thereabouts in 40 some minutes. PAIN PAIN PAIN...

It's kinda hopeless when you hear about 8 tag cannons smack you. I HATE Naga's with a passion, almost more than Stoli's.

I once scored 200 kills. I drove around the map in circles avoiding the tanks and killing the snipers, which always respawn.

I did the first mission and started Sammy Level and saved it when it starts.
Now I can play it whenever I want to!
I know, I cheated. :)

Or you could copy your RO shortcut and look at the target:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\Battlezone 1998\The Red Odyssey\odyssey14.exe" /d3d /nointro

and change it:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\Battlezone 1998\The Red Odyssey\odyssey14.exe" /d3d /nointro sammy__1.bzn

Basically, just launch it like an IA mission. :D
