Added a map pic to Nebraska D/L so you get the right image in game. Suprised this was nt in the pack, its a great bomber map, ask Fly.

Armadilo. I heard this was crashing games so I D/L it and added to addon folder and tried it out. No probs at all, strange. Perhaps its only with other players in the game? Also I found that it was in the 1998 addons folder, but not listed in the netmis.

If you want the Nebraska map its here.

Hi Taz. :) Yeah, the crashing on Armadillo doesn't happen in local testing by yourself, only with remote players in the game. It might be caused by host migration (when host leaves), when all powerups automatically destroy themselves and immediately respawn. Since one of the ammo powerups has a typo:
Image
"apammp" instead of "apammo". That is quite possibly the cause, but I haven't been able to do proper testing on the fixed version that I made.

I guess I can count this as a map request and consider putting Nebraska into (soon to be released) BZ98 v1.3 installer. I will need one more vote for it here (it can be Fly's or mine though), where players have been posting map wishes for the previous installers.

Yeah, it crashes with others in the game. I doubt it is cause of a typo Spork mentioned, with knowing that almost every stock map has a typo of some kind. It is in BZ98 addon because it was included in BZ1.4M installer and I want to keep all installers compatibile.

Why did you put a Proxy Mine on Nebraska if its .vxt allows only bombers?

Is it because the Black Dog Bomber has a Special Hardpoint?

Hehe, the Black Dog Bomber can pick up any weapon, seeing as it has every kind of hardpoint: Cannon, Mortar, Rocket, and Special. It's a very versatile unit in terms of what weapons it can be upgraded with. :P

I think that was the original intention, tne B Dog option, but it's so long ago I cant honestly remember.

Small l point I know. I did notice the DES files on some of my maps in the pack have changes so the acknowledgement has disappeared.

For example in Aarmpits My original DES file says.

WORLD: Dm by Taz^..^
SIZE: Small
POWERUPS: No (should be yes tho)
GEYSERS: no SCRAP:Just yours

In the pack it now says

WORLD: Moon SIZE: Small
POWERUPS: SP; Rocket, TAG, Comet, Hornet; MDM; Prox Mine.

Same for Bommamid and Parpparp. Not to worry tho.

All maps in BZ98 installer have the same format of des files. It was not done to take credit from someone, it was done to standardize the installer.

All readme files (where credits usually are), that were included in the "original" map zip file, are in "C:\Program Files\Battlezone 1998\Extras\Map readmes & pics" folder.

Makes sense, no probs, with that. Idle curiousity on my part.
