First game with Jazz, Compass, for 3rd place. I lost, after almost 3 hours of fighting. GG

I enjoyed the vids from the final. A couple of nasty snipes in both games
Spock got crushed just before he jumped into Hal's empty tank at one point (Corners), when I thought he had Hal boxed in. That probably cost him the game.
I also saw Spock empty his ammo on the E-W bug (?) when Hal seemed stuck in the wall. Then Hal's AI arrived and got Spock airborne. Game over.


Games on Citadels are often lost by losing the center and scrap there. Hard to back up anything from that point if it goes wrong there.

Seems Hal keeps head coolest and is less of a gambler. He's bad.

hehe next time i also want to join the tournament but yes i started not so long ago with bz (again after a while)

i definately agree with jonblund about citadels. thats why i lost several of my tournament matches

Ok, after 2 weeks I'm finally ready to talk about it...

Yeah, HAL was amazing on this tournament, he won the '09 title with losing only 1 match, which was in the group stage when it didn't matter (and by a sniper who was down to the 1 bullet).

I thought I have him cornered in our first final game, but like Jon noticed, that Sasquatch cost me the game (and someone said that NSDF Walkers are no good). After that, scrap was too close to him, so I had to do dumb things, like fighting without backup.

On Citadels there were few AI fights in the middle, but when HAL saw me making any progress, he would just sniped me. My last chance was letting him attack my spawn unprepared, which was exactly what happened, but as you saw - I was sniped again.

Yeah, I spent all the time in my last library visit watching all the videos you posted from the tournament. I was both amazed at how well you fought and how many times you got sniped. Well played, everybody.

So, today my bad day, I loose 3-d place, HF good fight and won 2 games. It was good time...
