 Post subject: Problem with XPSP3 .. a few seconds and it hangs

Spec .. PIII 1ghz+1gb ram
NVidia Asus N6200

When I try to run BattleZone it freezes after just a few seconds. The scenario comes up and I can move the turrent then HANG!
This computer is old (so am I). I want to play games from the 1996 to 2003 era.

I have read just about all the FAQ's and have got myself into a bit of a fix so I re-installed BattleZone but the problem remains.

Can anybody help me please?

Don't understand, can you explain this a bit more please?

Do you have the latest BZ installer?

Does this only hang in the current BZ98?
Does it do this with the latest EB of 1.5?
What are your ingame settings for graphics display?

Sorry for the questions, but the more info you give the better we may help ya!

PIII should run BZ just fine. I mean come on...I first got BZ on my Gateway Pentium II 450 Mhz with 128 MB memory! Hot damn, now I feel old :lol:

Currently the problem has been resolved.
I am running at 800x600 windowed.
BZ will not run in 1024x768 using the Asus modified drivers.
For some reason they cause the PC to hang.
At 800x600 it runs like a dream! Fast, smooth and no complaints.

Battlezone 1.4 only supports 640x480 in window mode. Or are you doing this with 1.5 beta? :?
