Post subject: Problems with Battlezone and 1.5 patches

My system specs:

WinXP SP2
AMD Athlon XP 2500+
Radeon 9600 Pro 128 MBs
1 GB RAM

I have problems with Ken Miller's patch (as well as the patch dated nov 2008) - when I launch the game or just access menus between missions the game often runs in desktop resolution and is being rendered in a small 640x480 rectangle at the top left corner of the screen. When I click any button that should open other submenus the game simply halts or even crashes with the Unhandled Exception when I'm clicking "next mission" which happens pretty often too.
I've tried several patches including 1.4O, several 1.5s (of course with the latest installer version) including the last one (Jan 29) - they all have these problems. However a game with an official 1.4 patch has none of these problems at all.

Another question - when firing two SP-stabber cannons the tank damages itself (only in 1.5) - is it intentional?

Game resizing itself in the shell (which shouldn't be causing UE in Experimental Builds, only UE in 1.4) is related to the anims in the shell, rename the anims folder. Right click, rename, or click, F2. Just name it "anims_" or something. In the event you want anims back for EB (Experimental Build) testing, you can rename the folder to just "anims".

There is no 1.5 patch yet, all those builds are experimental, purely for testing. In one of those builds, a few units could damage themselves, but that issue has been addressed, and the programmers are still ironing out a few other bugs, glitches, and issues as well.

Yeah I know, I meant various builds.

Will try the suggestion then, thanks

SnakeEye, for some players, the game resizes itself because of shell anims. This isn't about EB or multiplayer anims, this is about avoiding problems in 1.4. For example, launch BZ 1.4 fullscreen, and the launch TRO fullscreen. Exit TRO and your BZ will be re-sized. Now, start a game. Unhandled Exception.

For me, EB shell re-sizes itself with shell anims, but 1.4 works fine. UE is not a problem in EB though.

AMD Phenom 2 x3 720 processor at 2.80 GHz
Whenever I don't use compatability mode it says not enough memory I assume thats because of over 3 gigs of ram, but When I do use compatibility modes for XP service pack 2 or 98/ME it says unhandled exception please help.
1.5 BETA works but there is no music and I can't change the Key Inputs.

The music only plays if you have Battlezone CD. Hopefully that will change when 1.5 is complete, and the music will be in the game directory just like all the other files.

The input configuration screen doesn't work?

Mcraze & Ivan2294, please keep separated 1.4 and 1.5 issues. You are supposed to report 1.5 issues here.

Sporkinator & SnakeEye, don't talk 1.5 here, other then giving 1.5 link and explaining it's in development stage.
