Muhahaha....I am going insane thinking about this....The nightmares induced by the Furies haunt me once again.
Anyway, sorry for that. I would like to know why we cant use the CCA's Furies in multiplayer. I mean, sure, I can understand why we cant use the truly alien Furies (their unmatched speed and power), but the CCA ones are not nearly as fast (about as fast as a tank or bomber maybe but it is just a guess), but are just as powerful.
I dont think its unfair to use CCA Furies in multiplayer. I hope someone could add them into multiplayer.

It would be quite cool, although you would need to replace an unit in the factory to do that.  The (probably) least used unit would be the Tug, so we'd probably need a CCA Tug/Fury switch. However, the fair thing to do would be to give the NSDF an option to change their Tug to something else (I think)...

If there is something else to replace the NSDF Tug with, that is.
I think the Tugs would be the best to replace, I mean who uses them and for what? But CCA Furies wouldn't be too bad, of course; just like a tank coupled with a CCA Scavenger (their scavenger floats, like the furies, and a tank would be an obvious couple with that, I guess).
In the single player game, CCA Furies dont have the WASP missile so I wouldnt think to put that horror on these Furies either, just the Bolt Buddy like usual.
Or you could use those lower-to-the-ground alien Furies (but take away the Wasp missile), and those may be an easier choice to go to if the airborne ones arent liked much.

Hoppers for the CCA, saucers (with modified paintjob) for the NSDF. That sounds fair, doesn't it?
edit: Didn't the CCA furies in the last mission have three hardpoints? I can't find that ODF, just one with a single cannon HP.

Thanks, I already found that out yesterday and made two ODFs, both of the NSDF and the CCA Fury : ) I probably need to tone down both ones before I post them here ;p

I wonder what would be changed, though....
I think the only thing that would need to be changed is the wasp missile (to be removed from the alien saucer ship, not the hover one which is CCA built).
Dont forget Red Oddessy and the Chinese though....What about them (cant remove their tug since it is built by recycler and doing that would make it too easy to build Furies)?
Although I guess the Chinese couldnt have Furies, if that is the case with the tug and recycler, and the Chinese Fury (if made) must not be allowed to cloak either.

The Chinese are pretty powerful with cloaking already IMO. Well, what I did was replace the Wasp with a Comet (which is pretty much the same thing, except manmade). Because the saucer is less mobile and has less hardpoints than the Soviet hopper, I made it have extra armor. However I don't know if 5000 hull isn't too much  I'd make some screens, but irfanview colors are f******ing up when I do it. I'm going to try another screencapturing program if there is one and then I'll post some.

Comet is much more damaging then the WASP.

Anyone could upgrade whatever missile you give as stock to the Comet horror missile, if they have enough scrap to do it. Sure, Comet is more damaging but the WASP needs no lockon and will chase you till it hits you.
That alone is enough to warrent it being taken over by the Comet, right?
Also, the scrap cost would need to be modified, obviously, to fit the Furies; I suggest 8 or 10 as the number of units to make one.
(Scrap cost as reported by the Factory in Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs aka BZ64 may be different than that of the same mission in the pc game but it is reported as 10 units to make one for CCA)
Oddly enough, the CCA Fury in Battlezone 64 is different than that of the pc game, The N64 one has a single cannon Bolt Buddy and nothing else and you guys say that the pc game one has 3 hardpoints...

I already programmed both ODFs to cost 10 scrap  And actually, the CCA savtnk.odf Hopper has 4 hardpoints.

I LOVE this idea.  I think the NSDF should have some sort of saucer and the CCA have their Fury. This is going to be a fun DM...
