I have the radar problems that so many people here are reporting. Everything shows up as squares. Should I give up ever trying to get this to work on Windows 7 and just go back to XP?

Yeah, for now, radar is like that on every system with NVIDIA and Vista/7. Only XP is immune.  I use triple boot: XP, Vista and 7. But I have ATI, which doesn't work on 7 at all.

I don't think it's all beyond hope. Mine shows signs of getting better. I was playing strat yest, and occasionally in times of a lot of unit movement, one would flash to a circle. It's been a while since the last driver tho.

it's been 10 months since i made this post and i was wondering--is the radar situation any different? i have a hankering to play some battlezone...

yep, radar is fixed!
the problem for me now is that pressing esc. while in game or completing a single player level crashes to desktop.
i am running a geforce 8800gt on windows 7 x64 ultimate.

You should report 1.5 issues in 1.5 section. For example, ESC crash should go here.If you don't know where to post something, don't worry about it, just make a new topic/post and then I'll move it to the proper place.
