1 - New Kids on the Block
Welcome to the Chinese Missions. Here we go then. First thing you will notice is that you start on foot on the top of a hillside. You will get a briefing explaining that you have to make your way to the hanger and inspect it. The hangar is situated near the Nav Beacon that has been placed, so you can select that through the Command Console. On the mountain tops are a number of Soldiers that are making their way towards you. "Well lets run and jump out of the way" you might think. Well, you can't - due to the excessive amount of ammo that you are carrying, jump capability has been reduced. Constantly monitor your topographical radar (green one) to see where the soldiers are coming from. Bear in mind that as you make your way across the mountain tops there are approximately 5 Snipers in the hills waiting to ventilate your forehead. Constantly scan the horizon and search for heat sources through your Sniper scope.
Once you have made it to the CCA base, climb down the hillside and indentify the Hangar. You will then be instructed to go back to your base. As you start to make your way you will receive another radio message that says "Destroy the Comm Tower". Once this has played an Armory will be at you disposal, deploy it then start to make your way toward the part of the base that is slightly south of where the Hangar is.
Walk over toward the Comm Tower and as soon as you are close enough, select the Armory then option 4, Day Wrecker, and then pass your reticle onto the Comm Tower and press Space. This will launch a high powered non standard strategic Day Wrecker onto the Comm Tower, do not be near the Comm Tower when the DW goes off. Start to make your way back up the hillside and back toward your base which is in the South. Don't forget Soldiers and Snipers are still on the tops of the hill. If you want to watch the Comm Tower get destroyed then climb about half way up the mountain and then select your Sniper Rifle and view it, it's quite a bang. Once back at your base, BUILD BUILD BUILD! The enemy is already on his way and out for blood. First thing you need is a Tank equipped with Twin SPs. Then build Turrets, Gun Towers and other offensive units. Up the arms on your Turrets and GT if you like - I personally have Flash Cannon Towers. The enemy will keep throwing various units at you, to include aerial attacks by CCA Soldiers and somewhere in the region of 40 other vehicles.
At some point well into the mission you will be instructed to go to a NAV point and intercept a Tug that is making its way toward the CCA Base. If you go flat out from the time you hear that message you will have about a safe minute to spare before the tug gets within range of any gun towers or Turrets that the CCA have. Destroy the two fighter escorts and then snipe the pilot of the tug. Make sure that no pilots ejected from the fighters as the minute you get out of your tank to get into the Tug they will get in your tank and destroy you. If they did eject then KILL THEM. Once you have the tug get it back to your base asap. Take it to the Recycler. Once there you will see that there are two CCA fighters in your base. YOU MUST ASSIGN THE TWO FIGHTERS TO FOLLOW YOU!! If you don't the enemy will attack you. Take the tug back toward the CCA base. When you get to the hangar you will see a Relic outside the hanger. Pick it up and then put your foot down to the minimum safe distance. A diversionary attack will be sent to draw the enemy fire at the GT and Turret locations. Once you have reached safe distance and the countdown has expired there will be a big bang, end of mission.
---
2 - Protection
This mission is purley defence based, but don't worry, you wil be required to leave the base later on in the mission. Firstly equip yourslef with twin SPs and get build a few more turrets to defend the Recycler area of the base. As you will see the base itself is split into two levels. On the upper section is the Hangar, this is brings us to the main mission objective. The Hangar must remain intact the whole mission, if at anytime you lose the Hangar then the mission will fail. You can if you like build yourself a little stock pile of ammo and repairs somewhere within the rear section of the base for quick reloads. First attack will arrive after approx. 1 minute, so move quick. It is a fairly light weight attack but can still cause some damage, take them out. Once these have gone you will get several attacks that come in to attack your Recycler area, and also the Hangar area. When you are in the middle of the second attack wave Three Bombers will cruise in and do a pretty good job of trying to destroy the Hangar. If you do not jump on them quick they will succeed. Monitor your Hanger's repair status by putting you smart reticle on the Hangar and pressing the SPACE bar. If the Hangar is damaged even a fraction, select the Armoury, then 'Repairs' and place you reticle over the Hangar and press the SPACE bar again. Keep doing this until the Hangar is upto full strength. Periodically you will notice shells coming into the base from above. These are being fired by Howitzers located ouside of you base. Attack One is from the West, Attack Two from the East and the final one from the North. They are all targetting your Hangar and therefore must be destroyed asap.
I can't tell you how to defend a base but as your scrap level increases, up the firepower in your turrets and keep them in a good state of repair and also monitor there ammo levels. The better the weapon the more ammo they use. Sometime into the mission, approx 20 minutes, assuming you are surviving the attacks ok, a message will be played to say that there is a Russian Walker approaching. It will be highlighted as a White Neutral Target. Ensure you are fully armed and repaired and immeadiatly make your way toward it. You must keep it alive. I suggest that you also take at least 5 Tanks with you, leaving 5 behind in the base. Two sets of attacks will try to destroy the Walker. Stick with the Walker until it gets to the base. When it gets to your base it will automatically be Recycled. Once you have returned to the base build it up to stand a heavy assault by many enemy units, including Walkers. You have approx 7 minutes until the next phase of this mission starts.
You will get a message saying that the Hangar has ordered more parts. There is a convoy of three APCs that are making there way toward your base. They are friendly and you must protect them. One of these APCs also carries General Fu who is doing a random inspection of your base. Get the biggest force of heavy tanks together and make your way North West to where the Canyon is. It would be advisable however to leave your base with some offensive units. Make your way up the canyon and meet the APCs. There will be a few attacks that will attempt to destroy the APC's. You can only afford to lose one of the three, anymore and the mission will fail. En route back to the base there will be several small attacks on you base and one that will strike from three sides. This is a very heafty attack and must be supressed. Monitor your status of units and if a Turret or hwatever is destroyed then replace it immeadiatly. Once the APCs have all made it intact to your base the mission will end.
---
3 - Rescue Me
This mission involves repairing and rearming six Howitzers and then finding the APC that is transporting General Fu out of the area. First thing you need to do is get into the converted Minelayer. This monelayer is capable of deploying ammo & repair cans at any location that the vehicle can get to. You will see on the screen six white targets, these are the Howitzes that need to be repaired and rearmed within the 13 minutes you have. First port of call is to place you reticle over the all of the white targets to see which one of them is the closest. YOu should find that it is the one in the North of you start location. Put your foot to the floor and get there asap. Once you are there, press Control + F9 to link both deployment units (they should turn yellow). Press fire and it will deploy one repair and ammo can. Move your vehicle out of the way and then hop out. Get into the Howitzer and press 'K' to undeploy. Once you have control of the Howie, steer them over to the ammo can and pick them up, then press 'K' again to redeploy the Howie, turn around so you are facing your amoo & repair vehicle and then press 'H' to hop out and get back into the Minelayer.. Monitor your radar and check that there are no enemy forced in the canyon below you and then when it is clear make your way to the other side and repeat the process. You will have to move fast to get all six done with the time limit.
Once you have acheived this you then have to make your way back to your base/start area. You will find that a Factory has turned up and get building those aggressive units. You will have to build up a force that is capabale of dealing with alot of enemy units. I suggest twin SPs as usual equipped to all vehicles. The General is in one of three groups that are making there way along the canyons, these routes are West, North and East. Each group contains two or more APCs and heavy support units. There are also support units that are floating around the area looking for something to do. My personal way of dealing with this is to do high speed drive bys past each of the PACs identifying it as you go past. One of the APCs will say 'General's Tarnsport'. Once you have found that then peel off to a safe distance and regroup with your other units. Bring them back to the convoy and destroy everything that is protecting the APCs. Once done, snipe the pilot of the APC carrying the General and get into the APC. You can now either drive it yourself or hop out again and then get one of youtanks to pick you up and the pilot should get into the APC if it is the closest vehicle to him. YOu can then order him to follow you or go back to base. My preference is to get in the APC and drive it myself. Task your other units to defend you on the route back and wherever possible get yourself repair cans from the armoury to top up. As you enter the final leg you will have several units coming to attack you from front and rear, just keep you nose down and get to the base. Once you are within site of the base the mission will end.

4 - From Out of Nowhere
This is a speed mission which during the whole time you play it you tank should not actual stop. The idea is that the CCA are hording the scrap in the sector in a Super Silo. You are tasked with investigating the silo to find out how much scrap is being held within it. The CCA are in having breafast and you have only a limited time to get in and out. First order of business is to negotiate the Mine field. Several NAV beacons have been placed in order to assist you through this task. As soon as the cut scene has finished head South, the NAVs will autotically selected for you and the first is to the South, you have limited time in which to complete the run so foot to the floor and get going. WIth practise you will get to know the order of the NAVs and anticipate each direction change before it happens, this will allow much smoother navigation across the area, which in turn saves time. When you have succesfully negotitated the NAVs in time, the next phase is to Cloak your Ship. To do this press 'G'. Make your way down the into the base area, as you reach the first turn a cut scene will start showing the CCA coming out from breakfast and get into their many vehicles. Keep your foot to the floor and drive through them, if you are cloaked they will not detect you. Make your way down to the Silo. As you approach the silo, slightly peel off left or right and as you do so Press the 'I' key with you reticle over the Silo and you will identify it without stoppping. At this point, you're cloaking device will fail, Oops!!!!
Make your way out of the area avoinding the Turrets and fighters that will be firing at you. Back up the ramp and toward where the enemy were all parked up. They will now be after you. Also put you finger now on the 'E' to jump the units. As you approach the units you can actually jump over them, steam through their base strafing Left and Right to avoid the Gun Towers that are firing at you. Keep your foot to the floor the whole time. You will be insructed to go through the Portal. There are approx 30 units out on the top waiting for you in various sized packs. Ignore them, just keep driving. Constantly monitor you Green Radar looking for small red squares, these are high powered proximity mines that will destroy your ship if you hit two or more of them. Steer around them at best possible speed and make your way to the portal. You only have limited time in which to get to the Portal. As you approach the Portal just drive straight at it and then a cut scene will take over and drive you through. Easy Huh?

5 - Dire Straits
Well here you are on Elysium, stripped of rank and busted down to Scav Driver. No point bithcing about it, best get on and collect the scrap as you have been ordered to. You only have to collect three peices of scrap before things will start to happen. Do not go further than 200 metres from the Silo at this stage. Approx one minute after you have deposited your third bit of scrap in the silo, a group of fighters will pass you by. They will jeer and mock you but just ignore it. Shortly after that they will disappear and you will be ordered to investigate their last known location. A NAV will spawn and then you can make you way at best possible speed toward the NAV. When you get within a certain distance of the NAV it will cut to a scene showing one of the fighters being picked up by a CCA Hauler. Follow the convoy and stay within five hundred metres but not closer than 200 metres. Follow the convoy until such time as your base falls under attack, at which point you will be reinstated in a Military capacity and ordered to take over the base. Get to the base asap and start building a heavy base defence. Equip you tank with twin SPs and then Build Build Build. Time and space are tight so be careful about the placement of Gun Towers and Power Supplies. A Recycler, Factory & Constructor are available to you straight away.
The attacks waves will start fairly light at first and you might think that this is a breeze. It will get tougher. Units can attack you base from three sides and also the air. Soldiers periodically will be airlifted into your area and attempt to destroy your base. You will also find that Snipers will appear on the hilltops on occasion and they will take you out if you are careless enough to sit still when they are present. You will notice that your based is being bombed and the ground will be shaking all around you sometimes and you will here the distant rumble of the Day Wrecker being detonated. Ignore it, it won't harm you for now. You will however later be told that the artillery is located West of your position. Go immeadiatley with a very small force or on your own to the West and seek out the Howies. If you do not get there within 90 seconds, there will be two massive explosions in you base that will pretty much wipe most of it out.
One of the last sets of attacks is very heavy and will hit you from three sides. Keep fighting off the attacks until such time as the mission is successful.
---
6 - Out There Somewhere
Base attack time. To the West is a huge, well-defended base. The Gun towers that are protecting it are equipped with an array of weapons, including Buddy Bolts, SP Stabbers, Dual Rockets, etc. In the middle of this base is the new stolen American power supply prototype that has increased power supply range (up to 2,000 metres). So be advised, if you destroy a Power Supply near a Gun tower it does not mean that the GT is necesarily unpowered. The first thing to do is equip your tank with Dual SP Stabbers. Then build a Constructor and power supplies for the GTs in your base. Build an extra GT near the Recycler as it is crucial that it remains alive throughout the mission. Approx. 5 minutes into the mission a convoy of various vehicles will turn up in your base and they will all be friendly. However, this will not last if you shoot at them before they get to your base - they will turn against you as they are units made by the factory that you left behind on Ganymede in Chinese Mission 4. Destroy them and then the next two attacks waves that come to your base. Recycle the fighters that you have in your base and build a good offensive fleet.
There are three lines to bear in mind in this mission: • Scrap = Tanks • Tanks = Aggression • Aggression = Death
The door swings both ways on this statement as it applies to you as well as the enemy. Taking down the enemy base is either very easy or difficult because it depends on whether you are Gung Ho or not. Let us assume that you are not. Get yourself in a Chinese Bomber and make your way to the East entrance of the base (on top of the high hill). To get there you will have to destroy a few walkers but that is easy in a Bomber. Once you are at the top of the hill, get your Armory to create a stock pile of repairs and ammo for you at the top of the hill. Edge your way down the hill until such time as you can see the distant enemy base (a GT and Turret, etc.) Fire your twin Rockets at these targets and they will eventually give up the Ghost.
Once you have hit everything you can from the hillside, withdraw and move around to the South of the base. Again on the hillside, create another ammo stock pile and take out that side of the base. You will meet some resistance from mobile enemy fighters and tanks so just deal with them as required. Any Scavs you see, destroy, the strategy being that without scrap the enemy can build no replacement units. Gradually move your way around to the back of the base ( West ) and as soon as you can, take out the Recycler. In the middle of the base, toward the back, you will see a raised section of terrain that has GTs and Howies on it. In the middle is a hollow. This depression contains the two high powered power supplies. Destroy them as soon as it is safe to do so, then pick your way around the base and clear up the rest. On the North side of the hump you will see the CCA Field HQ. Destroy it!!!!! It will rearm any enemy vehicle within a 2,000 meter radius. That's about it. If you think that method is a bit Namby Pamby and you would prefer to attack the base full on, HAVE AT IT, BROTHER!!!!!

7 - Leave Home
Well now I know why I delayed in writing this mission WT, cause it is bloody difficult. Well here goes: Get to the correct bridge without getting your head blown off and then get back to the drop zone. That's it.
OK OK !!!! I will elaborate a little, maybe that was a little brief. Remember to save after every successful kill. First, allow the cut scene at the beginning to play all the way through. As soon as it has finished head down the side of the hill toward the Comm Tower - we are all friends at this point so don't panic; nice and easy will do fine. As you approach the Comm tower a cut scene will start showing your body man entering the Comm Tower. It will then cut to another scene telling you which bridge the convoy is going to travel along. DO NOT FORGET THIS AND GO TO THE WRONG ONE!!!!!
Now the fun begins (well alright, the pain). I will only do the route as if it were the North one we are going to, although bear in mind that the principal is the same for the East bridge. The first order of business is to get your butt out of the enemy base, head for the Western-most set of hills and don't look behind you. Many of you have complained that the jump capability has been removed - it hasn't - it's just been reduced. Running and jumping at the same time will get you better speed than just running. Get half way up the natural side of hill, turn around, select your sniper rifle, and eliminate all enemy pilots and soldiers. For your info, Pilots fire Plasma (Blue), Soldiers fire Miniguns (orange) and Units marked as Player fire Sniper rounds (ouch). Once you have eliminated the immediate threats it is time to move across the landscape. There is a built in error in BZ that aids you in this mission, as you run your reticule over the landscape ahead of you, be it through rock or the night sky, when it runs over the location of a unit, it will appear in the Command console parallel to the SPACE command. My method of play is this. Move across the landscape at approx 100 metre sections, scan 360 degrees with you sniper rifle selected, if something is coming at you and is close you will see the heat source, if he has line of fire you will hear his gun firing etc etc. That takes care of the pilots and soldiers, however, if whilst scanning the landscape the word PLAYER appears in the command console then you have to apply a different technique. I assume what most of you are doing is hopping over the hill and selecting your sniper rifle by which time the enemy sniper has already got you. This is what to do, triangulate his position by thinking 3 dimensionally where he is in relation to you, normally they are in depressions in the ground, get to the point where he is just out of line of sight and the run and jump at him whilst strafing, with practise you will be able to land on the opposite side of him, select your sniper rifle before you land, have turned around before you land also and then line up and take a shot, he can't turn very quickly so by effectively flying & landing behind him it gives you that few seconds you need to nail him.
Also a tip is this, even though you cant see the enemy, you sniper scope will pick them up way off in the distance, so if it is there, shoot at it, it has to be an enemy and one less to deal with is always a help. You have approx 12 minutes from the time you get out of the comm tower to the three minute warning of the APC arriving. When you get to within range of the bridge, again scan with your reticule and visualize where your targets are in relation to you, there is generally a Sniper on the opposite corner of the bridge to where the explosive crates are, he is your biggest problem, once he is removed then just clear up the nobody pilots and set yourself up on the ledge at the opposite end of the bridge to where the explosives are. Place yourself quite close to the edge so you can see down onto the bridge.
At some point a convoy of vehicles will arrive. Place your reticule over the APC and then press ' I ' to identify it. Once you have found the APC that says it is carrying the Alien Relic, count which one it is in the convoy, train your site on the crate closest the corner of the bridge and wait until the correct APC is level with the crate and squeeze off one sniper round at the crate. KABOOM!!!!!! Exit one APC and several of the surrounding units and vehicles. Make your way over the the repair & ammo can that is there and that will refill your health and weapon supply Take a break, Adults grab a beer and kids grab a glass of milk, the mission ain't over yet!!! Now the homeward stretch is on. You have approx 1,600 metres to travel and a lot of enemy that aren't best please with your marvelous achievement.
My advice is this, where possible hug the edge of the hillside and move along toward you target, when need, ie on the approach of an enemy fighter, move onto the hilltops until such time as they have passed. The principle in getting to the Drop Zone is the same as the bridge only time is not stalking you now, if it is going to take three hours to do, then take three hours (don't worry, it does not take three hours). Gradually move you way through the sectors until such time as you are approx 500 metres from the drop zone. My advice is this, make your way around the area that contains the NAV and approach from the South side of it, edge your way up the hillside and take out the foot soldiers that come to greet you. When you are almost at the top of the plateau that has the NAV on it, a small insertion team of your finest men will be airlifted in to assist you, let them do their bit and then you have two choices; RUN, JUMP & STRAFE through the area and look for the areas where the Snipers are kneeling down, then make your way to the outside and pick them off one by one, or Just attempt to pick them off one by one by changing your position very gradually and attempting to hit them. There are four snipers to deal with in all in this area, once they have been eliminated the mission will end. Good Luck, this is the mission from hell !!!!!!!!!!

8 - Light Up and Let Go
Home stretch now, a breeze of a last mission, so easy not sure why we put it in here really, but anyway, here goes... Allow the Cut scene to run at the beginning. As soon as you have control of your tank, cloak and head due West. After a short while you get a message saying that you have to destroy the front defenses of the base and you are going to use an APC to do it. A beacon will appear in the West, close to that a convoy of 5 APC's and two fighters. Allow the convoy to go past then follow it, de-cloak and hop out, immediately select your sniper rifle and then snipe the pilot of the 'LAST' apc. If you miss, after three shots get back in your tank, catch up to the convoy, hop put and try again. You have until the convoy turns north in which to snipe the last apc. Keep a cool head and you will be fine. TIP:- Always snipe the apc as it is going directly away from you, don't snipe from the side of it as it is much more difficult.
Once you have sniped the apc you only have a few seconds in which to catch up with rest of the convoy. Get to with a reasonable distance by using the 'W' key and then maintain convoy speed by using the 'Q' key (unless of course you have re-mapped your keyboard). As the convoy turns North, once the 4th one has turned put your foot down and get back to your base, get within 20 metres or so of the NAV beacon that is there. You will see a message come up saying ' Unloading Scrap, Stand By' DO NOTHING. As soon as you are instructed to rejoin the convoy, do so. Use the 'W' key for maximum speed. Again rejoin the convoy at a reasonable distance and follow them to the entrance of the base. When you get to a certain point right in the middle of the entrance you will be instructed to leave the apc there. Turn the apc around so you are facing the way you just came from, hop out then Run and Jump as fast as you can up the hill. The APC will blow up taking out most of the front of the base if not all of it. Start making your way back to your base at best speed, or get someone to pick you up (Scav). Or you can wait near the front of the enemy base as that is where the action will start. A set of production vehicles will turn up in your base. Order them to deploy on geysers near the front of the base. First things first once they have deployed, build a minor defense for the Recycler as this is mission critical. The entire base is powered by one mother of a power supply located in the tall column on the south side inside the base. Fully refresh your armour, Sniper rounds or whatever and then you have one of two options. You can either try to take out this main Power supply or just work you way through the whole base taking out each of the Gun Towers. Be advised though that the gun towers are not Stock ones and have a multitude of different weapons installed in them.
If you decide to take out the Main PSU, climb the outside wall of the enemy base and make your way to the edge on the inside of the base. You will see the column - be advised that there are snipers protecting the outside of the column (only two on opposing corners on a little ledge). Also note that there are snipers on the ground that will fire up at you. Take out the snipers by moving and gaining the best position. Once complete, jump from the outside wall across to the column utilizing the blind side from turret fire. Climb up and then get inside the column. Once inside you will meet no resistance, so make your way down until you reach the power supply, either plug away at it with your Plasma or deploy a Day Wrecker or two in there. What ever method you use, ensure that you are out of concussion damage range if it were to blow up or a DW detonates. Climb back out and then get into the safety of you tank, build up your forces and then move your way through the base. Be advised that every level has snipers on so so not travel in straight lines as they will nail you, always be aware that the sick man who placed the snipers thought it would be really funny to put them in the shadows ( He He, that was me ).
Because you have taken out the main power supply, whenever you destroy minor power supplies it will render the associated GT useless. As you move through the base clearing areas, call your forces and redeploy them. I suggest, however, that you take care when deploying your Recycler, ensuring a good defense. You will meet medium to strong units within the base of all vehicle classes so deal with them and progress through the base. Once you have eliminated all enemy vehicles and production capability it is time to do the final section. You will see that on opposite sides of the base at the highest level are two ramps that have a row of snipers at the top of them, around the corner are a series of MITS mines protecting a power supply and comm tower, don't bother trying to get past the mines or destroy them they are set at an extremely high level or armour. Ensure that you have a NAV beacon outside the fortress. Clear out everything that is on the ramps, all Snipers, enemy units etc etc, so all you are left with is the power supplies at either end, the magpull mines and also the comm towers. Ensure you tank is fully loaded and repaired. Instruct your entire platoon out to the NAV beacon outside the fortress.
When this is done, take your tank to the flat section just before where the mines are. Climb out and get into one of the Howitzers (you did spell it right). Press 'K' to undeploy and then drive to the flat space where you have the mines just in front of you at the opposite side of the base to where you left you tank. You should now have two key sections on the map. one where your tank is at the West Power Supply site and one where you are at the East, or Visa Versa Deploy the Howie and then aim approx 45 degrees over the mines and keep you finger on the fire button, adjust the trajectory so that the Howie shells don't get caught in the MAGPULLS and make it over them to hit the area where the power supply is. You probably will not be able to hit the Power Supply direct but concussion damage from exploding the shell nearby will destroy it. Once destroyed, make you way round to the other side where you have left your tank and repeat the process.
Once the Power Supply has been destroyed in the second location, get out of the Howie, and into your tank, drive up and destroy the comm tower that is around the corner, once destroyed, drive around the location of the other Comm tower and destroy that. Then once they have both been destroyed high tail it out of the fortress as quickly as possible. A set of explosions will be detonated on your way out, head down and drive drive drive until you are clear of the base. Once outside the mission will end successfully.
