Battlezone 1

hi all, recently redownloaded this game after getting a new computer.

i fixed the out of memory error easly enough though the FAQ. but now when i try to boot the game it pops up as if it is going to boot then says unhandled exception.

as well as this i have also downloaded the update file for the latest build, every time i try to boot the update exe, it says i have a missing DLL

i have currently tryed the compatability options and come up with nothing. any help is apprciated as i really want to play

sorry for double post. i fixed the boot problem by uncheaking spit-z filter

how ever. now when i begin a mission the map its self is fine. but the sprits {the lander etc} are miss coloured D:

any ideas?

note: the game it self will only boot from the configuration part. not from the desktop exe

Phew, Windows 7 64 Bit and ATI card. Have you tried setting the resolution to 800x600 or higher?
The bzone_d3d9.exe? You need more than that, you need a full 1.5 installation: http://www.battlezone1.net/patch That will install Battlezone 1.5 with the latest bzone_d3d9.exe and everything that's need to run 1.5.

yes, it seems i can boot the game from the games internal config program but not the desktop exe. i also think i goofed with the installation of the patch [i kept trying to install just an exe that was only 6mb x'D]

any ideas with my wierd graphics? the map its self is fine, but any placed objects like turrent,buildings or base floors are slightly screwed up.[like as if it hasent quite rendered the textures correctly]

It sounds like your BZ will only work in window mode, but you should be able to get fullscreen single player missions by launching them directly using the configuration utility. (Uncheck window mode to try it)

Those weird graphics look like what happened to me when I tried Guncam.

if anything. the exception appers if i try boot in windowed mode. none windowed boots fine but the bug with the graphics is there.
the games still playable with the screwy textures but id love it if it can be fixed

Ah, you're in software mode I guess. The main shortcut on the desktop launches hardware mode in fullscreen.

any idea how i can get the exe to boot in software and fix my graphics bug?

this needs marking as solved.i got the latest patch and it works fine
