I'm using BZ 1.4 and there's nobody on the server, that normal or did everyone move to 1.5? :O

I guess most BZ players are in American timezones, your post was made at 1:23 AM my time. The best way to find out the peak playing times and get games going is to lurk the lobby in window mode whenever possible. The server just reset a few minutes ago, at 2 AM my time (10 AM GMT). In a couple hours, players should start to show up.

Oh cool, it's the afternoon here. Guess I can wait a bit.  Are the 1.4 and 1.5 servers connected?

BZ 1.4 and 1.5 are in separate sessions. Even though in both cases you are on the same server (battlezone1.net) 1.4 players cannot see 1.5 players and vice-versa. I play and sit in both lobbies. Red Odyssey in window mode for 1.4 and BZ 1.5 in a window for 1.5. Only problem is I have to exit BZ 1.5 to join a game in BZ 1.4.

Which version has more players (usually)? I'm just interested in a game for old times sake. It's been nearly a decade since I last played an online match =D

This forum encourages all players to play the new 1.5 patch by Ken Miller, because not everyone can run 1.4, and it has numerous improvements that 1.4 needed. At the moment, a few players on 1.4, and a few are on 1.5. I don't really know why, but hopefully they will get 1.5 in the near future.

I've already got the 1.4 version installed (been chilling in the lobby but no one's playing anything, they're just idling :/). I'll grab the 1.5 as well =D

I just finished a great game with Nouda, and for not having played in a decade, he did quite well. Keep stratting

I played several games with Brona19 in 1.5 today, when you pop in do not leave just because it seems dead wait a few minutes so we can react, many player comes and goes day out day in.

Keep stratting So far I've only won 1 strat game (with a newbie friend of mine helping =P). The game controls are kinda instinctive in a way, once you learn them they kinda stick with you even if you don't play for awhile.

Here's a simple diagram I made that might help visualize what "server session" means:  You connect to the battlezone1.net server, then which version you are running (BZ1.4/RO or BZ1.5) determines which session you will be in. Think of the two sessions as "rooms" that are right next to each other, but with no windows in them.
