Great job in promoting Battlezone guys! For every noob having trouble with any SP mission, your videos are as precious as gold. Not so long ago only that silly MrSpockBZ had his vidoes up... :)

I have 2 questions. On which difficulty level were you playing (I presume all cheats were off) and is there any mission that's not uploaded yet, or at least not done and recorded in the satisfying way... maybe I should give it a try then... :P

All my videos are on hard, of course no cheats. If I can't beat it on hard in one run and get it on video, I don't bother recording on lower difficulty. It's ALL or NOTHING. :P

I already did all NSDF missions and all CCA missions, but I might eventually redo some of them because I found more effective strategies for some of them.

Record any mission you want. I like seeing how others beat missions and what their tactics are, especially since I still have trouble in some RO missions.

Out of all BZ missions (just BZ, not RO), I think NSDF #15 "Strike at the Heart" is the most difficult. :P

BDog #15 The Best Laid Plans (Final Mission)
Part 1
Part 2

Phew, glad I got that one over with...

It's not necessarily difficult, I just find it annoying.

I also recorded NSDF #3 with only AI doing the shooting just because I can:
Part 1
Part 2

If you have 8 minutes to spare, you can see my Escape from Mars Speed Run. :P

There's a secret level in the Red Odyssey that Spork was kind enough to make public.

I did some testing on that level. Apparently it goes like this. In 3 groups of units, after each set they add another unit to each group.
Here's a set in order.
1. Fighters
2. Light Tanks
3. Tanks
4. Bombers
5. Walkers
6. Heavy Tanks

Whats the interesting part is if you get to 3 groups of 5 walkers, you will die. And if u hop out of your tank, they forget the tank, and shoot you instead. Like Spork said, it does seem never-ending. Also, scrap increases for each kill, pilots don't seem to count. There are around 4 snipers at the corners and will ventilate your head if your not careful.

Yeah, the AI is brutal in that level. If you eject, in a normal game the units will not immediately shoot your pilot, unless you shoot at them. But in this level, they WILL END YOU.

Red Odyssey Hidden Level:
At the MISSION COMPLETE screen for ANY mission, type "sammy". Then proceed to launch the next mission. Instead of the next mission, you will be in the hidden level. After you die, you can type "sammy" again at that screen if you want to play it again, otherwise you will be back in the RO missions.

Alternatively, copy your RO shortcut and modify the target:

"C:\Program Files\Battlezone 1998\The Red Odyssey\odyssey14.exe" /nointro sammy__1.bzn

Then you can launch it any time like an IA mission. I actually added the level into my BZ Config 9000 program and launched it from there, but a shortcut is just as good.

When you play this level, your scrap display no longer represents scrap, it represents your score like this:
<current score>/<current high score>

You start out as a pilot with 50 sniper rounds and begin making your way through narrow passages towards an empty tank. Killing pilots, soldiers, snipers and destroying ships will increase your score, but when pilot is ejected from enemy tank, killing him won't increase your score. This map is very much like a single player version of deathmatch mode. The powerups respawn. Oh, and don't feel safe after killing snipers... they will re-appear after a relatively short time.

You mean make my way over the mountains and go directly toward the launch pad? I don't prefer to climb if I don't have to. :P

New Video Coming Soon! The Battle of Tunguska! A decent IA mission that isn't currently in the installer, and is great BZ video material because it only took me 45 minutes to win it, not hours and hours and hours like some OTHER IA missions. ;)

OK, here you go.

Not sure where I downloaded it, as I downloaded it a long time ago, and it was just sitting in a zip folder on my hard drive.

To answer that question for Spork, in that mission your tank doesn't have full ammo, its how you start out.

It's a relatively simple mission, sometimes simple is better. :)
